The 80s generation，tO describe those born in the 1980s in China，becomes ahoOt new word in recent vears，endowed with a special character，different fromother generations．Compared with their fathers and elder brothers born in the60s and 70's，the 80s generation has grown up in a less turbulent time，largelywithout poverty or other crises, under the tremendous growth of the Chinese economy,which in turn has led to a normal and prosperous childhood and adolescence. However,looking only at the material aspects of life, their childhood was far less abundant thanthat of kids born later, in the 1990s or even the early 21st century, those whose life hasbeen flooded with a variety of consumable items.
