怎樣選擇疑問詞提問呢？下邊給同學們介紹一些技巧。

1.對一個人的身份、職業(yè)提問，對陳述所做的一件事提問和對幾個數(shù)間的加減乘除的結果等提問時，常用疑問詞what。如：

⑴His mother is a doctor.→What is his

mother? (或What does his mother do?)

⑵That is a pen.→What is that?

⑶She wrote a letter to her parents last

night.→What did she do last night?

⑷Seven and eight is fifteen.→

What is seven and eight?

2.對年齡的大小進行提問用how old。如:

She is twelve.→How old is she?

3.對表示數(shù)量的多少、價格和范圍大小提問時，對可數(shù)名詞提問要用how many，對不可數(shù)名詞提問要用how much。用how many提問時，其后應跟可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)。如：

⑴There are two pencils in the pencil-

box.→How many pencils are there in the

pencil-box?

⑵I have a bottle of milk.→

How much milk do you have?

4.對時間長度、某物體長度提問用how long。如：

⑴They are going to stay there for a

week.→How long are they going to

stay there?

⑵This bridge is 150 meters long.→

How long is this bridge?

5.對距離、路程提問時常用how far。如：

Its about five kilometers from my home

to school.→How far is it from your

home to school?

6.對時間頻率副詞提問用how often。如：

I exercise twice a week.→

How often do you exercise?

7.對將來的時間狀語（答語多為“in+時間”）提問時用how soon。如：

He can finish the work in a week.→

How soon can he finish the work?

8.對表示人的健康狀態(tài)提問，對某事的進行方式（或做法）等提問用how。如：

⑴Im fine.→How are you?

⑵His mother is very well.→

How is his mother?

⑶The girl wrote the word with a foot.→

How did the girl write the word?

⑷We will go to Beijing by train.→

How will you go to Beijing?

9.對時間狀語部分提問常用when；如對具體的時間（鐘點）提問時，常用What time is it?或Whats the time? 如：

⑴They left there five days ago.→

When did they leave there?

⑵Tom often gets up at 6:30 in the

morning.→When does Tom often get up

in the morning?

⑶It is 7:00 now.→What time is it now?

或 Whats the time now?

10.對星期幾提問，常用What day…?對某個日期提問常用Whats the date? 如：

⑴Its Monday today.→

What day is it today?

⑵Its July 18th.→

Whats the date today?

11.對某人在某個年級、班級（排、行、組、隊、號碼）提問時用what grade，what class，what row，what team，what number；對某種顏色進行提問用what color。如：

⑴Li Lei is in Class Four.→

What class is Li Lei in?

⑵Toms car is number 2358.→

What number is Toms car?

⑶Han Meis coat is red.→

What color is Han Meis coat?

12.對某個人提問時用who；而對某個人叫什么名字提問時用Whats his/her name?如：

⑴This is Wang Lan.→Whos this?

⑵Her name is Lin Ying.→

Whats her name?

13.對某個動作執(zhí)行者（或某個主語）提問時用who，對某個動作承受者（或賓語）提問時用whom（指人）。如果指物用what，而對某個名詞所有格提問時用whose。如：

⑴Mr Wang teaches us English.→

Who teaches us English?

⑵Mr Li bought him a book.→

14.對已知范圍內(nèi)的東西加以選擇，進行提問時常用which（即在限定的范圍內(nèi)選擇）。如：

⑴The horse is big, the elephant is

bigger.→Which is bigger, the horse or

the elephant?

⑵The girl in red coat is from Shanghai.→

Which girl is from Shanghai?

15.對原因、理由等提問時常用why。如：

She didnt come to school today because

shes ill.→Why didnt she come to school

today?

16.對地點、方位等部分提問時常用where。如：

⑴Li Huas cat is under the table.→

Where is Li Huas cat?

⑵They study English in America.→
