The King of the forest is old. He needs to find a new King.

Bird： Im helpful. I can fly over rivers and mountain. And I can sing beautiful songs.

Butterfly： Im most helpful！ Im pretty. People are happy to see me， and children are happy to play with me. All the animals like me.

Puppy： Im more helpful than you. I can look after the babies， and catch the thief. I can be everybodys friend.

Elephant： ... [Elephant is sitting on the grass without any words.]

At last， the old King chooses Elephant to be the new King. He says， “The elephant is strong， and he is modest （謙虛的）！”

森林之王老了，他要找個接班人。

鳥兒說：我很能干。我可以飛越山川和河流，我還能唱動聽的歌。

蝴蝶說：我才是最有用的。我這么美麗，招人喜愛，孩子們喜歡和我玩，所有動物都喜歡我。

小狗說：我比你們能干多了。我能看孩子，抓小偷。我很忠誠，我是所有人的朋友。

大象：……（大象坐在草地上一言不發(fā)）

最后，老國王選了大象當新的森林之王。他說：“大象身體強壯，卻最謙卑?！?
