      Call for Papers:

      Authors are kindly requested to submit abstracts of proposed papers in English not less than 1000 words,which should state clearly the purpose, methods, results and conclusions of the work, to the Secretary General at ccsh16@jhydrod.com.

      The proceedings in English will be published with an International Standard Book Number (ISBN)and made available to all participants of the Conference.

      Scope:

      The Conference welcomes papers in any aspects of hydrodynamics, including but not limited to the areas of

      * Basic research in hydrodynamics

      * Computational fluid dynamics

      * New advanced experimental techniques

      * Hydrodynamics in naval architecture, ocean, coastal and hydraulic engineering

      * Industrial fluid dynamics

      * Ocean and atmosphere dynamics

      * Environmental hydraulics

      * Heat and mass transfer

      * Other frontier aspects in hydrodynamics

      Background:

      The Chinese Journal of Hydrodynamics (CJHD,《水動力學(xué)研究與進(jìn)展》) (ISSN 1000-4874), formerly Journal of Hydrodynamics, Ser. A (in Chinese), started publication in 1986. An independent English periodical, the “Journal of Hydrodynamics” (JHD) (ISSN 1001-6058) was initiated by the same editorial committee in 1989 and now is bi-monthly published.

      The CJHD and JHD publish articles in a wide spectrum of hydrodynamic research. They cover advances in theoretical and applied studies of hydrodynamics,and involve wide areas of applications, such as naval architecture and ocean engineering, water conservancy and hydroelectric power engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, energy exploration, environmental engineering, bio-engineering, etc.

      From 2006, Elsevier, a famous publishing company, issues the full text of the JHD in PDF on the ScienceDirect. Each article has a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI). The articles in the journal are also indexed by the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E)in the Web of Sciences and the Compendex (EI) in the Engineering Village.

      In last three decades, the CJHD and JHD have made remarkable contribution to promote the academic exchange and progresses in hydrodynamics. The first Conference of Global Chinese Scholars on Hydrodynamics (CCSH) was held in 2006 in Shanghai to celebrate the 20th anniversary of CJHD. The aim of the Second CCSH is to provide a forum for presenting the latest results in hydrodynamics and stimulating wider academic exchange for Chinese scholars all over the world in this important field, and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of CJHD as well. On this occasion, all Chinese scientists and engineers from universities, research institutes, consultant firms, industries and other institutions in the world are welcome to participate in this conference.

      It is believed that through this meeting, the global Chinese scholars working in this field will enhance their mutual relationship and make further efforts in the development of hydrodynamics. Other non-Chinese delegates from the world are also warmly encouraged to attend this conference.
