The Earth—Our Home

Earth Day is a very special day. It makes all of us think about pollution problems have been caused by people. Its not only a special day in the city where we live in①， but also a day that the whole world pays attention to.

Some countries have Earth Day celebrations， and some people and groups join in Earth Day projects such as “Protect Our Home” and “Water for Life”.

You can join in one of the project② or activities. You can plant a tree with your mum， or clean up a park with your classmates or friends. You can do almost something③. Try to think of something you would like to do.

Why do we celebrate the Earth Day？ Because we have only one earth and its getting dirty. Its our duty to protect our beautiful home. Earth Day is a day to call on people around the world to save the earth.

1. 優(yōu)點(diǎn)：

小作者在本篇文章中闡述觀點(diǎn)正確、全面，語言流暢，結(jié)構(gòu)合理、清晰。字里行間流露出小作者對(duì)地球的愛憐之心。是一篇較好的習(xí)作。

2. 需要修改的地方：

① in去掉。前面用了where后面就不能再用介詞in。

② project應(yīng)改為projects。one of后接名詞的復(fù)數(shù)。

③ something改為anything。這里的something改為anything較好，語氣更加強(qiáng)烈，表示“可以做任何事”。

3. 評(píng)分：

按中考英語書面表達(dá)滿分15的評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，本文修改前可得12分。
