ACC Meeting for ASEAN SSTEC Commercial Centre

The Promotion Meeting for the ASEAN Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City（SSTEC） Commercial Centre was held in Beijing on January 16. The meeting was co-hosted by ASEAN-China Centre （ACC）and the Administrative Committee of SSTEC.

About 120 participants consisting of the Commercial Counsellors and officials from the Embassies of Brunei， Laos，Malaysia， Myanmar， the Philippines，Singapore， Thailand and Viet Nam，representatives from the Chambers of Commerce of ASEAN countries in China， as well as Chinese and ASEAN entrepreneurs and media attended the meeting.

ACC Secretary-General Madame Yang Xiuping， and Mr. Xu Datong，Chairman of the Administrative Committee of SSTEC， delivered keynote speeches.

Secretary-General Yang said 2016 marked the 25th anniversary of ASEANChina dialogue relationship. ASEANChina cooperation faced many new opportunities with a broad vision. Both sides should strive to implement the important consensus reached by the 18th ASEAN-China Summit， accelerate the upgrading of the economic cooperation，raise the level of trade facilitation， promote ASEAN-China cooperation to new heights， bringing many tangible benefts to the peoples of both sides.

The ACC was willing to cooperate with the Administrative Committee of SSTEC and other relevant sectors to build a high standard ASEAN Commercial Center for mutually beneficial and winwin cooperation by facilitating more ASEAN commodities to enter the Chinese market and more Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in the region.

Chairman Xu said SSTEC， as a flagship cooperation project between the Governments of China and Singapore，aimed to build a resource saving，environmental friendly and social harmonious eco-city， and exploring for a new path to achieve the sustainable developing city.

The SSTEC would like to cooperate with ACC to provide an investment environment accessible and afordable with growth potential for the ASEAN SSTEC Commercial Centre， he said.

The Commercial Bureau of SSTEC and Tianjin Innovative Investment Co.，Ltd. briefed the meeting on the business environment， beneficial policies available and detailed information about the ASEAN Commercial Centre respectively.

During the meeting， Secretary-General Yang Xiuping and Chairman Xu Datong signed the MOU for cooperation on behalf of ACC and the Administrative Committee of SSTEC. Tianjin Innovative Investment Co.， Ltd. also signed Cooperation Agreements with China Machinery Instrument Engineering Corporation， Tianjin Yishang Group Co. Ltd. and Zhejiang Jiqunbao E-Commerce Co. Ltd. respectively.
