      Step 1.Pre-reading

      1.師生交流,培養(yǎng)思維

      (1)Free talk.

      (2)T:There are four seasons in a year.What are they?(學(xué)生看圖片說出)What season is it?What’s the weather like in spring/fall/winter?

      學(xué)生根據(jù)問題回答:spring,summer,fall,winter,快速說出有關(guān)天氣及季節(jié)的詞匯及句子。

      2.巧用歌謠,復(fù)習(xí)舊知

      3.圖片猜測,導(dǎo)入主題

      Lead-in.

      PPT出示課本中Kevin的照片。

      T:We all know the seasons and the weather. But what season is it in this picture?Look atthe boy.He’swearing a sweater.

      (讓學(xué)生猜測,培養(yǎng)其發(fā)散性思維,教師根據(jù)學(xué)生的問題回答,回答時用maybe)

      T: Kevin is writing an email. (PPT呈現(xiàn)email)Look,this is his email.

      設(shè)計意圖:由于教師是借班上課,上課一開始教師與學(xué)生自由交談,相互理解,增進溝通。利用課本歌謠引出復(fù)習(xí)的四季類及天氣類單詞與句型,為后面的閱讀做好鋪墊。隨后,教師利用圖片引出主人公Kevin,并引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過Kevin的衣服猜測澳大利亞的季節(jié),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的發(fā)散性思維,同時自然而然地引出主題“Kevin’s email”。

      1.聽讀郵件,整體感知(聽讀)

      2.快速閱讀,提取信息(尋讀)

      設(shè)計意圖:由于五年級學(xué)生是第一次接觸閱讀,教師在學(xué)生快速閱讀后,指導(dǎo)學(xué)生閱讀的技巧——在閱讀的過程中獲取關(guān)鍵信息,從而培養(yǎng)了學(xué)生尋讀的能力。教師充分注重了英語語言的工具性,引出郵件中的新單詞,并結(jié)合句子讓學(xué)生進行口頭操練,培養(yǎng)其英語表達(dá)能力。同時給學(xué)生介紹英語電子郵件的寫法,初步掌握電子郵件的構(gòu)成。

      3.細(xì)讀郵件,理解郵件(細(xì)讀)

      設(shè)計意圖:經(jīng)過前面的聽讀和尋讀活動后,學(xué)生對郵件的大意有了初步的了解,但對于澳大利亞與中國的氣候相反了解得不是很深入。借助兩個判斷題對學(xué)生再進行深入的指導(dǎo),要求學(xué)生細(xì)讀郵件。此活動的設(shè)計有利于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生準(zhǔn)確理解文中的每一個字和用英語思維的能力,同時也滲透了文化知識。

      4.模仿錄音,演讀郵件(演讀)

      (1)讓學(xué)生與錄音同時讀,注意語速。

      設(shè)計意圖:在學(xué)生理解郵件內(nèi)容后,沒有采取一貫的跟讀做法,而是讓他們同時跟讀錄音,并提醒學(xué)生注意語音、語調(diào)和語速,有利于學(xué)生形成良好的發(fā)音習(xí)慣。演讀激發(fā)了學(xué)生對閱讀的興趣,實現(xiàn)從閱讀到“悅”讀。

      Step 3.Post-reading

      1.復(fù)述郵件,口頭輸出

      設(shè)計意圖:設(shè)計一個口頭輸出——復(fù)述,目的是檢測學(xué)生對郵件的掌握與理解情況,提高學(xué)生的口頭表達(dá)能力,活動符合小學(xué)生的認(rèn)知水平。

      2.完成郵件,筆頭輸出

      3.觀看視頻,拓展課外

      設(shè)計意圖:鑒于學(xué)生對中國與澳大利亞氣候的差異理解這個難點,教師增加了一個有關(guān)兩國氣候的視頻“Weather culture”,讓學(xué)生加深對兩個國家不同氣候的了解,拓展更多的課外知識,也為課外作業(yè)的延伸做好鋪墊。在課結(jié)束之前,教師再引導(dǎo)學(xué)生看板書,鞏固所學(xué)知識,加深印象。
