Less is more right? Not in the world of fashion.
This summer, fashion designers recreate details in swimsuits, and redefine what is sexy for modern women.

Swimsuits and Women’s Longing for Freedom
The old-fashioned one-piece suit came back into public view as we entered the 1980s.. The bold V-lines on the chest and bottom showed incisively and vividly the curves of the female body and what it meant to be sexy
Perhaps people started to feel nostalgic from the excessive exposure hence why swimsuits in the 90s returned to a“ prudent” and“ conserved”sports style. With the impact of minimalism, the design became simple and clear at this time. The rise of the triangle bikini is evidence of this.
Way towards Beauty and Sexiness
For ladies who like to fully soak up the sunshine, the strapless design that became popular this year is a supreme choice. Designers take the raglan element from high fashion clothes into swimsuits. While
It's not widely known, but no more than a hundred years ago, women who loved the sea were con fined to modest swimsuits, embracing the reward from nature with their bare skin - of which, on average, 70% was covered.
The bold, edgy swimsuits on the beaches today are beyond comprehensionn for people at that time. The“ swimsuit revolution” that lasted a century has liberated women.
The Roots of Swimsuits Were but Dresses
Swimsuits began to take form as a functional garment in the early twentieth century. The swimsuits at the time were only dresses a little shorter than everyday dresses and skirts.
In the 1910s, due to reforms in fashion, women were finally released from corsets, and swimsuits became less restrictive. However, the public were still reserved and regarded“ revealing” garments as indecent. In 1907, Australian swimmer Annette Kellerman wasemphasizing the attractive curves on the shoulders, they offer another choice for women who are not used to exposing their bodies.
Swimsuits this year integrate both innovative designs and elements that highlight female sexuality. Under the in fluence of the Bohemian fever from last autumn and winter, ethnic elements like tassels, flounces and bridles are applied on swimsuits by designers. Women can be sexy while being elegant and smart also.
The evolution of swimsuits is a history of how women pursued their freedom. Whether conserved or sexy, swimsuits re flect the changes in society's idea of moral code and gender status. To this day, women can finally choose the kind of swimsuits they prefer, and show their attractive bodies with con fidence near the swimming pools and beaches. However, the revolution will never stop. More surprises are waiting for people in fashion to explore in the days to come.
