Huangguoshu Waterfall

Have you ever been to Huangguoshu Waterfall？ It is said to be No. 1 waterfall in Asia. It lies in Guizhou Province and is one of the most famous place① for sightseeing. Every year， millions of people will come② to visit it. The great waterfall is 77.8 meters high and 101 meters wide.

But if you went to the waterfall in spring in 2010， you would find a different waterfall. It became much smaller， only a quarter of that before. Because of the most terrible drought， many people dont have enough water drink③. People cant grow crops or vegetables.

You cant imagine the differences of the same waterfall in two different times. Before the year 2010， in spring， people watching the water near the waterfall had to take an umbrella or put on a raincoat， and④ they would get wet. The waterfall became much smaller. Fewer and fewer people would like to visit it. All of us hoped that the bad drought would be gone. More and more tourists would come and enjoy the lovely waterfall again.

1. 優(yōu)點(diǎn)：

小作者運(yùn)用今夕對(duì)比的方式對(duì)黃果樹(shù)瀑布進(jìn)行了描寫(xiě)。由于干旱，黃果樹(shù)瀑布水流量明顯減少。文章最后，小作者期盼黃果樹(shù)瀑布能夠恢復(fù)原貌，吸引更多的觀光者。全文語(yǔ)言通順，語(yǔ)義連貫，句式豐富，時(shí)態(tài)準(zhǔn)確，是一篇值得推薦的學(xué)生習(xí)作。

2. 需要修改的地方：

① place改為places。one of后面應(yīng)接形容詞最高級(jí)，再接可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式；

② will come改為come。every year通常與一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)連用；

③ drink改為to drink。此處應(yīng)用動(dòng)詞不定式（to drink）作定語(yǔ)；

④ and改為or。表示“否則；不然的話”，應(yīng)用or。

3. 評(píng)分：

按中考英語(yǔ)作文滿分20分的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，本文修改前可得18分。
