新華社北京9月10日電 國(guó)家主席習(xí)近平于周六向清華大學(xué)中美蘇世民學(xué)院開(kāi)幕式致祝賀信。清華大學(xué)蘇世民學(xué)者項(xiàng)目是由清華大學(xué)和史蒂芬·蘇世民合作設(shè)立的一年制碩士課程。旨在培養(yǎng)具有國(guó)際視野、綜合素質(zhì)、領(lǐng)導(dǎo)能力和中國(guó)知識(shí)的人才。第一屆的110名學(xué)者來(lái)自于31個(gè)國(guó)家70所大學(xué)。
BEIJING, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a letter on Saturday congratulating the opening of the China-U.S. Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University. The Schwarzman Scholars program of Tsinghua University is a one-year post graduate program co-founded by the university and Stephen Schwarzman. It aims to cultivate students with international vision, overall quality, leadership and knowledge of China. The first group of 110 scholars come from 70 colleges in 31 countries.

The G20 Summit evening gala has not only boosted the host city’s image, but also spurred Hangzhou’s tourism, the paper.cn reported on Wednesday. Bookings with travel agencies to visit Hangzhou increased 110 percent on September 5 and 6, compared to the same time last year, according to lvmama.com, one of China’s top online tourism service websites. Data from Chinese shortterm rental platform mayi.com has also shown the rental prices in Hangzhou have increased by as much as five times the price at the same time last year, according to eastmoney.com, a financial data website.

Alipay, China’s major third-party payment service, announced it will start charging fees for transferring more than 20,000 yuan ($3,000) to bank accounts. The new policy that takes effect on Oct. 12 said Alipay users need to pay a fee of 0.1 percent when they transfer money from the app’s built-in digital wallet to a bank account. Alipay is not the first e-wallet to charge fees. In March, popular mobile messaging software WeChat also began charging 0.1 percent for money transfers over 1,000 yuan.
