由中國美術(shù)家協(xié)會和浙江省文學藝術(shù)界聯(lián)合會聯(lián)合浙江省文化廳、中國美術(shù)學院主辦的杭州·中國畫雙年展于2017年新年前后展出。

第四屆杭州·中國畫雙年展確立了“正大氣象”的主題，以中堂畫的形式來表現(xiàn)中華文化的正大氣象。中堂畫是最能代表人的精神追求和人格寫照的中國畫樣式。展覽分三個主題，即“風·懷鄉(xiāng)之風”、“雅·清韻之雅”、“頌·堂正之頌”，展出了256件中國畫精品。

在振興中華、實現(xiàn)中國夢的時代大背景下，本屆杭州·中國畫雙年大型展覽的作品形式多樣、特色鮮明，顯示出中國傳統(tǒng)文化藝術(shù)的魅力和中國文化精神。

Majesty and Splendor in Just Ways

The 4th Hangzhou Biennale of Traditional Chinese Painting was held around Spring Festival in 2017 in Hangzhou. It was jointly sponsored by China Artists Association， Zhejiang Federation of Literary and Artistic Circles， Zhejiang Administration of Culture and China Academy of Art.

The biennale featured “Majesty and Splendor in Just Ways” as its theme. The 256 exhibits at the event were all large-size paintings in the central scroll format， a format for halls in traditional residences. Three themes were highlighted：

Airs： Nostalgia， Hymns： Grace and Rhythms， Eulogies： Odes to Majesty and Splendor. The sectional names were directly copied from Chinas most ancient collection poetry titled “The Book of Songs”.

Praiseworthy were the diversity and distinct theme of the biennale， which featured the charms and essences of traditional Chinese art and culture.
