從小學(xué)習(xí)語(yǔ)文，老師就教我們要學(xué)會(huì)歸納文章的主要內(nèi)容并提煉文章的中心思想。說(shuō)明文、議論文可能還好說(shuō)，尤其是一些“形散神不散”的詩(shī)歌和散文，要在“下筆千里，不知所云”的散亂行文中找出若隱若現(xiàn)的風(fēng)骨精神，我們就極有可能跑偏。來(lái)，不妨一起嘗試歸納一下英國(guó)歌手Seal的神作《玫瑰之吻》（Kiss from a Rose）的主要內(nèi)容和中心思想。

這首歌的單詞并不難，但就是這些簡(jiǎn)單的詞匯組成的歌詞卻并不好懂。初一看，這首歌貌似一首普通情歌。而且聽(tīng)眾一聽(tīng)到歌曲中的baby一詞，自然也會(huì)聯(lián)想到親密愛(ài)人。同時(shí)“You became the light on the dark side of me”“You remain my power， my pleasure， my pain”以及“youre like a growing addiction that I cant deny”等歌詞也很像愛(ài)情給歌者帶來(lái)的救贖與重生。

然而，很多人并不認(rèn)為這首歌有明顯的情歌因素。有樂(lè)評(píng)認(rèn)為，這首歌是“one of the mysterious songs ever written， there has been much speculation as to the meaning of ‘Kiss from a Rose”。尤其是據(jù)傳歌手Seal有吸毒史，很多人也認(rèn)為這首歌和毒品有關(guān)。若是如此，歌中出現(xiàn)的“Love remained a drug thats the high and not the pill”以及“You remain my power， my pleasure， my pain”以及“youre like a growing addiction that I cant deny”也能解釋得通。

對(duì)于歌迷和樂(lè)評(píng)人的種種揣測(cè)和疑問(wèn)，Seal卻一言以蔽之曰：“some kind of relationship that inspired the lyrics”。如此似是而非的回答，讓聽(tīng)眾更想挖掘他所說(shuō)的some kind of relationship到底是指什么？是圣潔的愛(ài)情，還是卑污的毒品？對(duì)于大家的追問(wèn)，Seal終于做出了比較中肯的回答：“I think its the general vibe of what Im saying that is important and not the exact literal translation … The song is always larger in the listeners mind because with it they attach imagery which is relative to their own personal experience. So it is your perception of what Im saying rather than what I actually say that is the key.”這也符合Seal的一貫矯情之處。他喜歡在一首歌曲中埋藏多元豐富的意義，因此在他看來(lái)，一首歌一種含義未免太膚淺了。

Seal在創(chuàng)作這首歌曲時(shí)，或許已經(jīng)有清晰的主題，抑或根本沒(méi)有想好，或者就是純粹的意識(shí)流，想到哪兒寫(xiě)到哪兒。只是難為了廣大歌迷為其操心非要在一片grey和gloom的歌詞中找出blooming rose。

雖然歌曲晦澀，但并不影響其熱賣。這首歌成為1995年電影《蝙蝠俠》的主題曲，并在1996年格萊梅音樂(lè)獎(jiǎng)中收獲了三項(xiàng)大獎(jiǎng)。也正是因?yàn)檫@首歌，Seal成了家喻戶曉的名字。
