App helps the blind“see”

App讓盲人“重見”光明

You were my strength when I was weak,

You were my voice when I couldn't speak,

You were my eyes when I couldn't see!

It is so romantic，right？ But the true life of the blind people is totally another story:everyday tasks,such as checking the expiry date on a tin of food,or finding thread with right color can prove difficult.

To solve this problem,a visually impaired developer from Denmark has launched the app.

To ask for help,a blind person opens the Be My Eyes app on a cell phone and requests assistance from a sighted user.

The volunteer helper gets a notification for help,and once it accepts the request,a live video connection opens.

Using the live video,the volunteer can see whatever is in front of the blind person using the phone’s built-in camera.

They can then help the blind person answer their question.

是不是非常浪漫？但是與盲人的真實生活相差甚遠，很簡單的日常行為，比如查看罐裝食品的保質期，尋找正確顏色的絲線……對盲人而言，絕非易事。

為了解決這個問題，丹麥一家視力障礙研發(fā)公司開發(fā)了App——你是我的眼。

盲人朋友可以打開手機上的這個App向視力健全的人求助。同時，提供服務的志愿者們會得到一個求助提醒，一旦接受請求，視頻聊天就會打開。

通過視頻和手機的內置攝像頭，志愿者可以了解盲人周圍的情況，從而提供相應的幫助。
