癌癥兒童需關(guān)愛(ài)，卡通明星“禿”一回

Its not easy having cancer， especially when youre a kid. And its even harder when that bald[禿頭的] chemo[化療] head tells the whole world that youre sick.

So Garfield， Hello Kitty and the fine-feathered cast of the movie Rio 2 are going bald， too. Cartoonists around the world are shaving[剃] their creations as part of a Brazilian project that aims to reduce the stigma[恥辱] of cancer treatment.

Children “have to fight the prejudice[偏見(jiàn)] from friends， from colleagues at school and from people they see on the street，” says Roberto Fernandez， executive creative officer[執(zhí)行創(chuàng)意總監(jiān)] at the ad agency Ogilvy Brazil， which launched[發(fā)起] the campaign[運(yùn)動(dòng)] with GRAACC， a childhood cancer nonprofit in Sao Paulo. “They start to be treated as somebody special， in a bad sense. People avoid them； friends at school bully[欺負(fù)] them for being bald.”

The Bald Cartoons concept started in Brazil back in November， when characters in cartoons and comic books popular there， such as Monicas Gang注1， started taking a bit off the top. Later its going international[國(guó)際的]， with about 40 characters from across the globe including Garfield， Snoopy， Hello Kitty and Finn from the TV show Adventure Time注2.

The story lines stay the same， Fernandez tells Shots注3， but the characters have no hair—or fur—on their heads.

“Theyre bald with no explanation， just like if a kid with cancer is bald…you dont have to bother them about the fact that he or she is bald，” he says. “Thats how we want to see kids. I want to see kids playing happily， no matter if they have or dont have hair.”

In Brazil， the Bald Cartoons campaign became so popular it even got a Twitter shout out[大喊] from Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.

But Fernandez is most excited about childrens reactions. One patient said in a video，“I thought that if I took my hat off at school people would laugh， but now I dont feel that anymore.”

“And he took off the cap，” Fernandez says.“And all these friends clapped[鼓掌] for him immediately. And that was a huge emotional moment for us.”

孩子們“不得不與各種偏見(jiàn)進(jìn)行斗爭(zhēng)，這些偏見(jiàn)可以來(lái)自他們的朋友、學(xué)校的教職員工，以及路上遇到的行人”，巴西奧美創(chuàng)意總監(jiān)羅伯托·費(fèi)爾南德斯這樣說(shuō)道，這家廣告公司與位于（巴西）圣保羅市的癌癥兒童非盈利性機(jī)構(gòu)——巴西癌癥兒童醫(yī)院（GRAACC）一同發(fā)起了該項(xiàng)活動(dòng)?！霸谝粋€(gè)不好的層面上，他們開(kāi)始被當(dāng)作特殊分子對(duì)待，被人們遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)避開(kāi)，會(huì)因?yàn)楣忸^而被學(xué)校里的小朋友欺負(fù)。”

“光頭卡通”這一構(gòu)想早在（去年）11月就在巴西出現(xiàn)了，當(dāng)時(shí)在例如《莫妮卡小友幫》這樣的本土人氣連環(huán)畫(huà)及漫畫(huà)中，角色們的頭頂都“清爽”了一把。這一風(fēng)潮隨后走向國(guó)際化，全球有四十幾個(gè)卡通人物參與到活動(dòng)中來(lái)，其中包括加菲貓、史努比、凱蒂貓以及電視動(dòng)畫(huà)《探險(xiǎn)活寶》中的芬恩等。

費(fèi)爾南德斯向自拍應(yīng)用平臺(tái)Shots表示，這些漫畫(huà)故事本身并無(wú)改動(dòng)，只是角色們都沒(méi)頭發(fā)——或者頭頂上的毛禿了。

“他們無(wú)緣無(wú)故地禿頂了，就像癌癥兒童光了頭那樣……你沒(méi)必要因?yàn)樗?她是個(gè)光頭就去打擾別人的生活，”他說(shuō)?！拔覀兿Ｍ吹胶⒆觽兿襁@樣生活下去。我希望看到孩子們快快樂(lè)樂(lè)地玩鬧戲耍，無(wú)論他們有沒(méi)有頭發(fā)?！?/p>

“光頭卡通”活動(dòng)在巴西大受歡迎，就連巴西總統(tǒng)迪爾瑪·羅塞夫也在推特上為其喊話求關(guān)注。

不過(guò)，最讓費(fèi)爾南德斯為之振奮的還是孩子們對(duì)此的反應(yīng)。有一名患兒在一段視頻中說(shuō)：“我原本以為，如果我在學(xué)校摘掉帽子，大家都會(huì)嘲笑我，但是現(xiàn)在我不再這么想了?！?/p>

“然后他摘下了帽子，”費(fèi)爾南德斯說(shuō)。“他的朋友們立刻為他鼓掌喝彩。這對(duì)我們來(lái)說(shuō)實(shí)在是激動(dòng)人心的時(shí)刻?！?/p>
