One day Arthur said,

“I can teach YOU to read, too.”

“I already know how to read,” said D.W.

一天，亞瑟對朵拉說：“我來教你讀書吧?！?/p>

They raced to the park.

Arthur pointed to a sign.

“What's that say?” he asked.

“Zoo,” said D.W.

“Easy as pie.”

“動物園！”朵拉回答，“這也太簡單了?！?/p>

“You do not!” said Arthur.

“Do too!” said D.W.

“你不會！”亞瑟說。

“我會！”朵拉回答。

“Prove it,” said Arthur.

“Read ten words, D.W., and I'll buy you an ice cream.”

D.W. stuck out her hand.

“It's a deal,” she said.

“Let's go!”

“那你證明給我看。”亞瑟說。

“朵拉，要是你能認出十個詞語，我就給你買一個冰激凌?！倍淅斐鍪謥碚f：“說話算話?！?/p>

“警察，”朵拉回答，“你最好快點離開草地，不然警察就來抓你啦?！?/p>

Arthur stepped off the curb.

“Look out!” said D.W.

“It says Don't Walk. You could get hit by a car.”

亞瑟邁下路階。

“小心！”朵拉說，“路燈上寫著‘行人止步’，小心被車撞到！”
