Winter Melon: It’s Good for Your Eyes

Arich man in a village hired a private teacher for his child. But as mean as he was, he only offered the teacher winter melon every meal. The teacher felt puzzled and asked, “Does your family only enjoy eating winter melon?”

The rich man replied, “Yes, it’s delicious, and it’s good for eyesight. The more you eat, the more clear-eyed you will be.”

One day, the rich man walked into the study and saw the teacher standing in front of the window gazing off into the distance. He asked him what he was looking at. The teacher turned around and answered, “I’m here watching a stage show in the downtown.”

The rich man was astonished at what he heard, “You can see a play being performed so far away?”

村里財(cái)主家請(qǐng)了個(gè)教書先生，天天只給人吃冬瓜，先生問東家：“貴府只喜歡吃冬瓜嗎？”

財(cái)主說(shuō)：“是的，冬瓜味美、養(yǎng)目，多吃會(huì)目光明亮。”

一日，財(cái)主到書房來(lái)，看到教書先生站在窗前遠(yuǎn)望，便問他在看什么。先生轉(zhuǎn)過身答：“我在這兒看城里演戲呢?！?/p>

財(cái)主聽了很詫異，問：“城里演戲能看見？”
