Three mothers are getting water at the edge of a well. An old man is having a rest on the stone near the well. Now the three women are talking about their sons.

One of the mothers says，“My son is clever and strong. He can turn somersaults. Nobody can do better than him. Look， he is turning and coming here.”

It really looks like a wheel. How wonderfully he turns！ The three mothers are all attracted.

The second mother says，“My son sings very well. Nobody has a better voice than him. Listen， he is singing songs now.”

How beautifully he sings！ The three mothers are all attracted.

The two mothers both praised their sons， but the third mother says nothing.

So they feel very curious and ask her，“Why don’t you introduce your son to us？” But she says， “There’s nothing special about my son.”

The three mothers have got their water.

The first son turns a somersault and follows his mother.

The second son sings the song and goes away.

The third son runs to his mother and says， “Mum， let me help you carry the water.”

One mother comes to the old man and asks， “See？ They are our three sons. What do you think of them？”

“Three sons？” the old man says， “No， you’re wrong. I see only one son.”
