The carpets （地毯）were black.

The chairs （椅子）were black.

The bed（床） was black and it had black sheets （床單）.

Even the bath（浴缸） was black.

Winnie lived in her black house with her cat， Wilbur.

He was black too. And that is how the trouble （麻煩）began.

女巫溫妮和她的小黑貓威爾伯住在森林里一棟黑色的大房子里，這棟房子從里到外都是黑色的。也正是因為到處都黑漆漆，所以麻煩大了！你們猜：溫妮的“麻煩”是什么呢？

When Wilbur sat on a chair or carpet（地毯） with his eyes open（睜開眼睛）.

Winnie could see him. She could see his green（綠色）eyes， anyway.

But when Wilbur closed his eyes（閉上眼睛） and went to sleep（睡覺）.

Winnie couldnt see him at all. So she sat on him（坐在它身上）or tripped over（絆倒） him.

當威爾伯閉上雙眼睡覺的時候，溫妮眼前就只有：黑色的毛毯，黑色的椅子，黑色的威爾伯，這可讓溫妮傷透了腦筋，有什么辦法可以讓威爾伯變得更加醒目而不會讓自己摔跤呢？

One day， after a nasty（令人不悅的）fall，Winnie decided（決定）something had to be done.

She picked up her magic wand（魔杖），waved （揮舞）it once and ABRACADABRA！

Wilbur was a black cat no longer（不再）.He was bright green（熒光綠色）！

溫妮靈機一動，揮舞魔杖把威爾伯變成了一只“綠貓”，這下子威爾伯在黑漆漆的大房子里變得格外醒目，無論它到哪里，溫妮都可以一眼看到它，但是問題真的就此解決了嗎？

Now，when Wilbur slept on a chair，Winnie could see him.

When Wilbur slept on the floor（地板），Winnie could see him.

But， Wilbur was not allowed（允許） to sleep on the bed.

So Winnie put him outside（外面）in the grass（草叢）.

Wi n n i e c am e h u r r y i n g（匆忙）outside，Tripped（絆倒）over wilbur，turned three somersaults（跟斗），and fell into a rose bush（花叢）.

When Wilber sat outside in the grass，Winnie couldnt see him， even（甚至） when his eyes were wide open.

聰明的同學們，現(xiàn)在溫妮的“麻煩”又來了，威爾伯變成了綠色，到了草叢之后，溫妮根本找不到它！

This time， Winnie was furious（發(fā)火）.

She picked up her magic wand，waved it five times and Abracadabra！

Wilbur had a red（紅色） head，a yellow（黃色）body， a pink（粉紅色）tail，blue（藍色） whiskers（胡子）， and four purple（紫色）legs.

But his eyes were still green.

Now ，Winnie could see Wilbur.

Wilbur climbed（爬）to the top of the tallest（最高的）tree to hide（躲藏）.

He looked ridiculous（可笑）and he knew it.

Even the birds laughed at（嘲笑）him.

Wilbur was miserable（傷心）.

He stayed at the top of the tree all day and all night（一天一夜）.

Winnie was worried（擔心）.

現(xiàn)在，溫妮任何時候都能看見威爾伯了。但是，威爾伯可一點兒也開心不起來。如果威爾伯是同學們的小寵物，你會忍心看到它整天悶悶不樂嗎？我們來看看溫妮這次會怎么做吧！

Then Winnie had an idea.

She waved her magic wand and Abracadabra！

Wilbur was a black cat once more（再一次）.

Then Winnie waved her wand again， and again，and again（不停地揮舞魔杖）.

Abracadabra！

Now instead of a black house，she had a yellow house with a red roof（房頂） and a red door（門）.

The chairs were white with red and white cushions（靠墊）.

The carpet was green with pink rosed（玫瑰花紋）.

The bed was blue，with pink and white sheets and pink blankets.

The bath was a gleaming（閃光）white.

And now，Winnie can see Wilbur no matter where he sits.

溫妮用魔法把大房子徹底改造一番，這下子無論威爾伯在哪里，她都可以找著它了。威爾伯是溫妮的好朋友，和好朋友相處就應(yīng)該設(shè)身處地，多為對方著想，才可以一起愉快地玩耍。
