On December 27,2019,the 5th exhibition of “Chinese Pose:China Sculpture Exhibition” series,an important brand project of the Chinese Sculpture Institute,officially launched in Wuhan,Hubei,which will be held every three years in the Hubei Museum of Art ever since.
“Chinese Pose” is a national platform committedto showcasing the achievements and promoting the academic research of contemporary Chinese sculpture.“Chinese Pose” hopes to offer fine creative sculptures with Chinese manner and a style immersing in Chinese traditional culture and philosophical spirit,in an attempt to revitalize contemporary Chinese culture and Chinese sculpture.
Since its establishment in 2008,it has been featured by its focus on the ontological language of sculpture.Sculpture is the art of molding human souls,unique in its creative principles and rules,rich in its patterns,materials and forms,and dimensional in its room and space.Contemporary sculptures increasingly reflect trans-disciplinary tendencies and produce theatrical effects,which still has a special value to the world today.Excellent sculptures excel in their profound philosophy,refined art form,and artistic presentation,which embodies meaningful beauty,eternal emotions,and mighty spirit,representing the backbone of the times.

2019年12月27日,中 國雕塑學(xué)會重要品牌項目——“中國姿態(tài)·第五屆中國雕塑展”正式落戶湖北武漢,以后每三年一屆在湖北美術(shù)館舉行。
“中國姿態(tài)”是全國性展示當代中國雕塑成果的研究推廣平臺?!爸袊藨B(tài)”,即以中國文化意識與哲學(xué)精神打造具有中國風(fēng)骨、中國氣派的雕塑精品,承載著當代文化復(fù)興與中國雕塑夢的希冀。
自2008年創(chuàng)辦以來,對雕塑本體語言的關(guān)注成為展覽的鮮明特點。雕塑是鑄造靈魂的藝術(shù),有自身特殊創(chuàng)作規(guī)律,材料豐富,形式多樣,形體占據(jù)一定空間。當代雕塑日益體現(xiàn)出跨界傾向和劇場化效應(yīng),迄今仍具有特殊價值。優(yōu)秀雕塑作品總是集精深思想、精湛藝術(shù)、精良制作于一體,體現(xiàn)著雋永的美、永恒的情和浩蕩的氣,代表著時代的筋骨。
雕塑作品呈現(xiàn)出新時代的繁榮與多元發(fā)展現(xiàn)狀,整體展現(xiàn)雕塑界近幾年在觀念形態(tài)、材質(zhì)、方法、精神方面取得的突破。
此次參展的藝術(shù)家代際跨度大,老中青結(jié)合,東方與西方,傳統(tǒng)與現(xiàn)代,本土與全球問題構(gòu)成中老年藝術(shù)家的視覺關(guān)注點。而80 后、90 后的雕塑藝術(shù)者,將數(shù)碼、圖像、微信、微博等生存現(xiàn)實,突出反映在他們的作品中,構(gòu)成了一種指向未來的力量,豐富并推動著雕塑展走向更好的未來。
傳統(tǒng)意義上的雕塑媒材有木雕、石雕、陶瓷、鑄鐵、浮雕,不銹鋼材料有著難以抵擋的誘惑,綜合媒介則體現(xiàn)了藝術(shù)家表達與思考的開放性,數(shù)碼科技也開始被引入。而寫實手法仍占據(jù)主流,抽象雕塑、卡通雕塑、表現(xiàn)性的雕塑、裝置藝術(shù)等多樣風(fēng)格的混搭,樣式的交融,手法的多元,故事性與趣味性的結(jié)合,具象與抽象的并行,都使本屆雕塑展呈現(xiàn)出一種生命的活力。
The prosperity and diversified artistic development in the new era have found their ways into the exhibits,which demonstrate the great breakthroughs that have been made by the sculpture circle in the area of conceptual forms,materials,methods,and spirit in recent years.
The artists participating in this exhibition range in age greatly,and are strongly concerned about dialogue between the East and the West,the marriage of tradition and modern,and the interweaving of global and the local issues.The post-1980s and post-1990s artists,in particular,constitute a future-oriented force,who have projected living reality in the digital age,the imagery space,WeChat platform,and Weibo world in their works,adding color to the existing sculpture community while pushing forward the sculpture exhibition towards a better future.
Traditionally speaking,sculpture involves woodcarving,stone carving,ceramics,cast iron,and relief.But now,stainless steel materials have become an irresistible temptation for sculptors; carving by means of mixed media fully indicates that the artists are open to new expression and thinking modes.To our delight,digital technology has also begun to be introduced in the sculpture world.While realistic art methods and modes still dominate the exhibition,the introduction of various styles of abstract sculpture,cartoon sculpture,expressive sculpture,and installation art can also be found here.The blending of styles,the diversified methods,the combination of plotted storyline and interesting themes,and the parallelism of figuration and abstraction all help to vitalize this sculpture exhibition.(Translation:Qing Run)
