Happy Marriage

A couple was celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. Their domestic tranquility （平靜） had long been the talk of the town. A local newspaper reporter was inquiring the secret of their long and happy marriage.

“Well， it dated back to our honeymoon，” explained the man. “We visited the Grand Canyon and took a trip down to the bottom of the canyon by pack mule.

We hadn't gone too far when my wife's mule stumbled （跌倒）. My wife quietly said ‘That's once. We proceeded a little farther when the mule stumbled again.

Once more my wife quietly said， ‘That's twice. We hadn't gone a half-mile when the mule stumbled a third time. My wife suddenly removed a revolver （左輪手槍） from her pocket and shot him.

I started to blame her for her treatment of the mule when she looked at me and quietly said， ‘That's once.'”

A Trip to Disney

On a trip to Disney World in Florida， my husband and I and two children devoted ourselves wholeheartedly to the wonder of his attraction. After three exhausting days， we headed for home. As we drove away， our ? son ? waved ? and ? said， ? “Good-bye， Mickey.” Our daughter waved and said， “Good-bye， ?Minnie.” My husband waved， rather weakly， and said， “Good-bye， Money.”

A Small Boy and A Donkey

A small boy leading a donkey passed by an ?army camp. ?A couple of soldiers wanted to have some fun with the lad. “What are you holding your brother so tight for， sonny？” asked one of them.

“So he won't join the army，” the youngster replied without blinking an eye.

It Hurts

Jack's mother ran into the bedroom when she heard him scream and found his two-year old sister pulling his hair. She gently released the little girl's grip and said comfortingly to Jack， “There， there. She didn't mean it. She doesn't know that hurts.”

She was barely out of the room when the little girl screamed. Rushing back in， she asked， “What happened？”

“She knows now，” Jack replied.

Life After Death

“Do you believe in life after death？” the boss asked one of his employees.

“Yes， Sir，” the new recruit replied.

“Well， then， that makes everything just fine，” the boss went on. “After you left early yesterday to go to your grandmother's funeral， she stopped in to see you.”
