Little Brother and Little Sister小弟弟和小姐姐

Once upon a time, a sister and her little brother lived in a house near the forest. They lived with their stepmother, who was very evil and often beat them. There was no one who could help them, not since their father died. So the children ran away.

從前，在森林旁的房子里住著一個小姐姐和她的小弟弟。他們和繼母住在一起，繼母的心腸很壞，常常打他們。父親去世后，再也沒有人可以幫助他們了，于是孩子們逃走了。

The children ran into the forest. They thought they were safe, but they were wrong. Their stepmother was a witch! She put a spell on the forest’s rivers, lakes and ponds, saying the magic words, “Drink from me, and the animal you will be....”

孩子們跑進(jìn)了森林里。他們以為自己終于安全了，但他們錯了，他們的繼母竟然是一個巫婆！她給森林里的河流、湖泊和池塘都施加了咒語：“喝下我，你就會變成動物……”

The brother was very thirsty. He ran to drink from a river. But his sister heard the river say, “Drink from me, and a lion you will be.” So she stopped her brother.

小弟弟非常渴，于是他跑去河邊喝水。但是小姐姐聽到小河說：“喝下我，你就會變成獅子。”于是她急忙阻止了弟弟。

Her brother was still thirsty, so he ran to a lake. His sister heard the lake say, “Drink from me, and a wolf you will be.” So she stopped her brother again, and together they ran away.

小弟弟依然十分口渴，于是他跑去湖邊喝水。他的姐姐聽到湖說：“喝下我，你就會變成狼?！庇谑撬俅巫柚沽说艿埽瑤е幼吡?。

The brother was very thirsty. He saw a pond and ran to it for a drink. His sister cried out, “No!” But it was too late, the brother was turned into a deer! The sister hugged him, and gave him a golden necklace, saying, “Wear this, dear brother, so I know who you are.” They built a house near the pond, and lived there in happiness.

小弟弟實在太渴了，他看到一個池塘，便跑過去喝水。他的姐姐大叫道：“不！”但為時已晚，小弟弟變成了一頭小鹿。小姐姐擁抱著小鹿，給了他一條金項鏈，說道：“戴上它，親愛的弟弟，這樣我就能認(rèn)出你了。”他們在池塘邊建了一座小屋，幸福地生活著。

One day, the King came to the forest, he followed the deer to their house. When he met the sister, he fell in love with her. They married soon after, and had a little baby boy. But their happiness came to an end because of the arrival of the witch. She was envious of the sister. She took her away and imprisoned her in a cave.

一天，國王來到森林里，他跟著小鹿來到他們的小屋前。國王對小姐姐一見鐘情。不久以后，他們舉行了婚禮，并有了一個可愛的兒子。但幸福的生活隨著巫婆的到來戛然而止。巫婆非常嫉妒小姐姐，于是將她抓走，關(guān)押在一個山洞里。

The king soon found out, and headed for the mountain in a hurry. He found the sister in the cave. She was very weak. The king said, “I love you. I’ll love you always and forever.” Suddenly the sister got better! The evil spell was broken! The brother also turned back into a boy! The witch was punished. The brother, the King, and the sister lived happily.

國王很快發(fā)現(xiàn)了這件事，他趕到山上，在山洞里找到了身體非常虛弱的小姐姐。國王對小姐姐說：“我愛你，我將永遠(yuǎn)愛你?！痹捯魟偮洌〗憬愕纳眢w就好多了！巫婆的咒語解除了！小弟弟也從小鹿變回了小男孩的模樣。巫婆受到了應(yīng)有的懲罰，而小弟弟、小姐姐和國王一起幸福地生活了下去。
