This is Jenny. Jenny lives in a pretty red house.

On a sunny day， Carol had a surprise for Jenny.

“What is the surprise， Carol？” asked Jenny.

“Ill give you a hint2，” said Carol. “Were going to the park today！”

Jenny skipped3 along side of Carol toward the park. Carol carried a brown basket. “What is in the basket？” Jenny asked. “Youll see，” answered Carol.

When they got to the park， she took bread out of the basket. It was the bread to feed the ducks4 swimming in the lake！ “Good morning， ducks！” Jenny said. She threw the bread into the lake for the ducks to eat.

“Quack5， quack，” answered the ducks. They started swimming toward Jenny！There were black ducks， brown ducks and ducks with green rings on their necks. They ate all of the bread that Jenny threw into the water.

“嘎嘎，嘎嘎?！兵喿踊卮稹Ｋ鼈冮_(kāi)始向珍妮游過(guò)去，有黑鴨、棕鴨和脖子上有綠環(huán)的鴨子。它們吃掉了珍妮扔入水中的所有面包。

Jenny played on the red swing set and flied the kite.

“Jenny，” Carol called. “Come here！”

Jenny ran as fast as she could to Carol.

“Im here Carol，” Jenny said. “What else is in the basket？”

“Youll see，” Carol said and started to take things out of the brown basket. First came sandwiches that had lettuce6 and tomatoes on a piece of meat. Then Carol took out carrots and corns. Next， Carol brought apples out. Last out came good， cold milk.

“Great，” shouted Jenny clapping7 her hands. “Were going to have a picnic！ What a good surprise！”

“太棒了！”珍妮拍著手喊道，“我們要去野餐！真是個(gè)大大的驚喜！”

After the picnic it was time to go home. “Goodbye， ducks，” Jenny said. “Ill be back！”

野餐之后該回家了?！霸僖?jiàn)鴨子?！闭淠菡f(shuō)，“我會(huì)回來(lái)的！”

“Quack， quack，” said the ducks. “Well be waiting for you， Jenny！”

“嘎嘎，嘎嘎。”鴨子們說(shuō)，“我們會(huì)等你的，珍妮！”
