Scene1

During the Warring States Period（戰(zhàn)國時期），King Xuan of Qi（齊宣王）liked an instrument（樂器）called“Yu”. Look， he was talking with his ministers（大臣們）

King Xuan：Look at my strong country， who can make me happy？

Minister A：My King， we can have a Yu team.

King Xuan：Sounds good！

Minister B：We can build the Yu team of a hundred people.

Minister A：I think two hundred is better.

King Xuan：No， three hundred！ I want to have three hundred players in my team. I need it done as soon as possible.

Ministers：Yes， My King！

Scene2

The soldiers posted a notice to find three hundredYu players. Nan Guo saw the notice and joined the team.At night， Nan Guo shared his new job with his wife.

Nan Guo：My dear， I got a new job.

Wife：Really？

Nan Guo：Yes！ Thats a good job.

Wife：Whats your job？

Nan Guo：Ill go to play the Yu for the king.

Wife：But you cant play the Yu at all.

Nan Guo：Its easy. I will use a small ball to block（塞?。﹎y Yu. Then I can act to play it.

Wife：But ... Its only a trick（把戲）. If ...

Nan Guo：Stop！ Dont worry， dear. No one can find it.

The next day， Nan Guo went to the palace（宮殿）. Inthe palace， King Xuan was checking his Yu team.

Scene3

Minister A：My King， look！ Three hundred players are ready.

King Xuan：They look great！

Minister B：Yes， theyre all good Yu players！

King Xuan：Good！ Let them play the Yu right now.

Minister A：OK， My King. Everyone， music！

Everyone played the Yu nicely. Nan Guo swayed（搖晃）following the other Yu players. No one found his trick.

King Xuan：Great！ I like it. I can listen to the Yu every day.

Minister A：Yes， My King.

King Xuan：Look at my great Yu team！ Look at my powerful country！

Players：My great King！

King Xuan：You all did a good job. Award！

Players：Thank you， My King.

Scene4

One day， King Xuan was enjoying the Yu.

Suddenly， he heard a noise. All the players stopped except（除了）Nan Guo.

King Xuan：Who made the noise？ Catch him.

Soldiers：My King， its him.

King Xuan：You cant play the Yu！

Nan Guo：My ... My King ... I am wrong ...

King Xuan：Push him out！

Nan Guo：My King， just now I saw a golden dragon flying over your head ...

King Xuan：Really？

Nan Guo：Then I saw you shining in the golden light. I was excited， so I made that noise.

King Xuan：Haha ... Great！ Thats great！ Award！

Nan Guo：Thank you， My King. You are the smartest king！

Nan Guo was lucky. Nobody knew his trick. Fifteen yearslater， King Xuan died and his son became the new king. Oneday， King Min was enjoying the Yu.

King Min：Stop！ I dont like it. I want Yu solo（獨奏）.

Players：OK， My King.

Nan Guo was frightened， because he couldnt play the Yu at all.

King Min：Oh， no！ So bad！

Nan Guo：I ... Im sorry ... My King ...

King Min：Can you play the Yu？

Nan Guo：No ... I ... I cant ...

King Min：How dare you！ Soldiers， catch him！

Soldiers：Yes， My King.
