This Is How We Go to School

My English name is Angel. May I ask you a question first? How do you usually go to school? And why?

I usually walk to school. That’s good exercise. On my way to school, I have to cross two roads. I always remember to cross the roads at the traffic lights. When the light is red, I just stop. When the light is yellow, I stand there and wait. When the light is green, I can cross the road.

As for my classmates, they have their own ways to come to school.

My best friend Sandy always comes to school by car, because her mother drives her to school. Then her mother drops her at the crossing,which is not so far from our school. Then she has to cross the road herself and walks to our school.

In China, drivers drive on the right side of the road. So Sandy has to look left first and then look right when she crosses the road. When her mother is not free, she comes to school by taxi.

David goes to school by bike. It takes him about 15 minutes to ride to school. He always wears a black helmet when he rides a bike.

Amy lives far away from school. There are two rivers between her home and our school. It usually takes her an hour to school on foot. She gets up early every day.

However, most of my classmates come to school by bus. It is safe and convenient.
