An Argentinian artist named Leandro Erlich has created an illusory swimming pool. This pool looks the same as a normal pool, but when you enter the pool, you will see a surreal scene: people wearing daily clothes, standing, walking and breathing underwater. Is such a scene outrageous?
In fact, there is an underwater room in the pool, that is hollow. The artist spread a chunk of thick Acrylic board across the pool and injected 10 cm of water into it, creating the illusion of a standard pool.
Leandro began his artistic career at the age of 16. He is very good at using visual effects to create absurd illusions, then helps make the virtual scene into reality. When we enter this space that subverts visual cognition and begin to wonder, we even doubt our eyes, and cant tell the difference between fantasy and reality. The artist will take you out and see the truth through clever arrangements. And when you suddenly realize the moment, you really have had an artistic experience.
