The “Perfect” Dog “完美”的狗

During summer vacations， I would volunteer at the vets， so Id seen a lot of dogs. Minnie was by far the funniest-looking dog Id ever seen. Thin curly hair barely covered her sausage-shaped body. Her eyes always seemed surprised. And her tail looked like a rats tail.

She was brought to the vet to be put to sleep because her owners didn't want her anymore. I thought Minnie was sweet， though. “No one should judge her by her looks，” I thought. So I advertised Minnie in the local paper： “Funny-looking dog， well behaved， needs loving family.”

When a young man called， I warned him that Minnie was strange looking. The boy on the phone told me that his grandfather's sixteen-year-old dog had just died. They wanted Minnie no matter what. I gave Minnie a good bath. Then we waited for them to arrive.

暑假期間，我都會(huì)到獸醫(yī)診所幫忙，所以我見過很多狗。米妮是我目前見過的長得最滑稽的狗，她那稀疏的卷毛幾乎都蓋不住那香腸狀的身體。她的眼睛總是充滿好奇，尾巴長得和老鼠的尾巴很像。

她的主人不要她了，便把她帶到診所，讓獸醫(yī)幫助她永久地“睡去”。但我覺得米妮性情溫馴。“人們不應(yīng)該憑長相來評判她。”我想。于是，我將米妮的情況刊登在當(dāng)?shù)氐膱?bào)紙上：“有一狗，長相滑稽，溫馴聽話，尋找一個(gè)有愛心的家?！?/p>

有一個(gè)年輕人打電話過來，我提醒他米妮長相奇怪。那男孩在電話那頭告訴我，他的祖父有條16歲的狗剛剛死去，不管米妮是什么樣的，他們都想要。我給米妮好好洗了個(gè)澡，等著他們的到來。

At last， an old car drove up in front of the vets. Two kids raced to the door. They held Minnie into their arms and rushed her out to their grandfather， who was waiting in the car. I hurried behind them to see his reaction to Minnie.

Inside the car， the grandfather cradled Minnie in his arms and touched her soft hair. She licked his face. Her tail wagged around so quickly that it looked like it might fly off her body.

“Shes perfect！” the old man exclaimed.

I was thankful that Minnie had found the good home that she deserved.

Thats when I saw that the grandfather's eyes were a milky white color—he was blind.

終于有輛舊車停在了診所前面，兩個(gè)小孩跑到診所門口。他們把米妮抱在懷中，然后跑向在車?yán)锏却淖娓?。我緊隨其后，想看看老人對米妮的反應(yīng)。

車?yán)锩?，老人把米妮攬入懷中，輕撫著她柔軟的毛。米妮舔著他的臉，尾巴飛快地?cái)[動(dòng)著，好似要脫離她的身體而去。

“她很完美！”老人大聲說道。

我很感激，米妮找到了一個(gè)很好的家，這是她應(yīng)得的。

就在那時(shí)候，我看見老人的眼睛是乳白色的——他是盲人。

完美并不需要你方方面面都比別人優(yōu)秀。只要你身上有閃光點(diǎn)，在這個(gè)世界上，對有些人來說，你就是完美的，你同樣會(huì)得到屬于你的那份幸福。
