Monkey loves his friends.

They live happily（快樂(lè)地） in the forest.

One day， Monkey runs with Mouse.

Monkey runs faster（更快的） than Mouse.

“I can run much faster than you， Mouse，” says Monkey.

“I win（贏了）. I’m the best.”

One day， Monkey has a tug-of-war（拔河比賽） with Bird.

Monkey wins in the tug-of-war.

“I win. I’m the best，” says Monkey.

One day， Monkey swims with Squirrel.

Monkey swims faster than Squirrel.

“I can swim much faster than you， Squirrel，” says Monkey.

“I win. I’m the best.”

One day， Monkey climbs a tree with Bear.

Monkey climbs the tree faster than Bear.

“I can climb much faster than you， Bear，” says Monkey.

“I win. I’m the best.”

“I’m the best at everything，” says Monkey.

Monkey becomes proud（自負(fù)的）.

“It’s no good for Monkey，” say the four friends.

“Let’s help him.”

“Let’s dig a hole（挖洞），” says Mouse to Monkey.

Mouse digs deeper（更深的） than Monkey.

“I can dig deeper than you， Monkey，” says Mouse.

“I win. I’m the best.”

“Let’s fly，” says Bird.

“But I can’t fly，” says Monkey.

“Oh， you don’t have a wing，” says Bird.

“I win. I’m the best.”

“Let’s climb a tree，” says Squirrel to Monkey.

Squirrel climbs the tree faster than Monkey.

“I can climb faster than you， Monkey，” says Squirrel.

“I win. I’m the best.”

“Let’s have a tug-of-war，” says Bear to Monkey.

Bear wins in the tug-of-war.

“I win. I’m the best，” says Bear.

“Sorry， I’m not the best，” says Monkey sadly（傷心地）.

“Monkey， you are still the best，” say the four friends.

“Because you are our best friend.”

“Thank you， my friends. We are all the best，” says Monkey.
