Eliminating poverty is a challenge for all countries.China has made remarkable achievements in poverty alleviation，carrying forward the great tradition of working togetherand offering mutual support.

It has accumulated valuable experience， which belongsto China and the rest of the world， and offers enlightenmentto the international community in its battle to reduce poverty.

As a foreigner living in China since 2016， I have observedfirst hand the country’s rapid economic growth， andhave learn a lot about alleviating poverty. Such a programmeshould be adopted by the world， especially Africa，where many countries are still underdeveloped.

Governments need to work together with local people.The development of a country is not the government’s dutyalone; it’s also the duty of its citizens. As a concerned citizenof Zimbabwe， I want to contribute to poverty alleviationin my country， using the knowledge that I have gainedin China.

I have decided to play my part in growing my country’seconomy by starting my own business. Taking advantage ofthe fact that I live in China where the prices of materials arelow， in 2020 I decided to start a brand for women’s shoes，which are produced in China， and which I sell both in mycountry and here in China.

I have been to the shoe factory， where I learn a lot. It ismy desire to open a shoe factory in Zimbabwe in future，where my Chinese partners would come and teach us andhelp build a local industry for shoes.

Using the profits accumulated over time， I have beenable to give back to the community， both in China and inmy country.

I founded a charity organization， Patience of HopeFoundation， that aims to pay school fees for underprivilegedchildren in remote parts of Zimbabwe.

Through the foundation， we have paid school fees formany children and provided food to poor families duringthe peak period of the Covid-19 pandemic.

I am so grateful to China for giving me the opportunityto learn and contribute positively， not just to my country’seconomy but also here in China， which I consider my secondhome.

作為一名2016年開(kāi)始在中國(guó)生活的外國(guó)人，我親眼目睹了中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)的快速增長(zhǎng)，也學(xué)到了很多扶貧知識(shí)。中國(guó)的減貧方案應(yīng)該被全世界效仿，特別是在還有很多欠發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家的非洲。

政府需要與當(dāng)?shù)厝嗣颀R心協(xié)力。一個(gè)國(guó)家的發(fā)展不僅僅是政府的職責(zé);也是公民的責(zé)任。作為一個(gè)心系祖國(guó)的津巴布韋公民，我希望利用我在中國(guó)學(xué)到的知識(shí)，為津巴布韋的扶貧工作做出貢獻(xiàn)。

我決定自己創(chuàng)業(yè)，為祖國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展貢獻(xiàn)力量。中國(guó)的材料價(jià)格較低，2020年我決定利用這一點(diǎn)開(kāi)創(chuàng)一個(gè)女鞋品牌，產(chǎn)品在中國(guó)生產(chǎn)，在津巴布韋和中國(guó)銷(xiāo)售。

我去過(guò)鞋廠，在那里我學(xué)到了很多。我希望將來(lái)能在津巴布韋開(kāi)一家鞋廠，我的中國(guó)合作伙伴會(huì)來(lái)津巴布韋指導(dǎo)我們，幫助建立當(dāng)?shù)匦瑯I(yè)。

現(xiàn)在，我已經(jīng)能夠用積攢的利潤(rùn)回饋社會(huì)，回饋中國(guó)和我的祖國(guó)。

我成立了一個(gè)“希望耐心基金會(huì)”慈善組織，旨在資助津巴布韋偏遠(yuǎn)地區(qū)的貧困兒童讀書(shū)。

在疫情形勢(shì)嚴(yán)峻時(shí)期，我們通過(guò)該基金會(huì)資助了許多兒童的學(xué)費(fèi)，并為貧困家庭提供食物。

我非常感激中國(guó)給了我學(xué)習(xí)的機(jī)會(huì)，也給了我為祖國(guó)和中國(guó)的經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展貢獻(xiàn)力量的機(jī)會(huì)。我把中國(guó)看作是我的第二故鄉(xiāng)。
