    Research and Practice on Key Factors for Reducing Energy Consumption of Pumping Stations in the Wanjiazhai Yellow River Diversion Project

    Abstract:Through our in-depth research on the units, frequency converters, and other factors that have a significant impact on the power consumption of the cascade pumping stations in the Wanjiazhai Yellow River Diversion Project,starting from the energy consumption of the pumping stations, taking the power consumption per cubic meter of water as the starting point, it is deduced that reducing the head and unit speed operation of the first and second pumping stations as much as possible is the key factor in reducing the energy consumption of the pumping stations in the Wanjiazhai Yellow River Diversion Project, and has been verified in practice. This conclusion can provide reference and reference for the economic operation of similar pumping stations.

    Abstract:As an important electrical safety technical measure, portable short-circuit grounding wire is a safety barrier for maintenance personnel. When short-circuit current passes through the grounding wire, its thermal effect should not exceed the allowable value. To ensure that the grounding wire meets the current passing requirements when a short-circuit fault occurs, it is necessary to check the thermal stability of wires regularly and select the correct and qualified grounding wire.This verification method is also applicable to other grounding devices.

    Analysis of the Causes of Air Leakage in a GIS Equipment Air Chamber and Non-Power-Off Measures for Handling Power Failure

    Abstract:As GIS equipment becomes increasingly prevalent in the power system, SF6 gas leakage events caused by equipment manufacturing quality, aging of sealing components, and other reasons also becomes inevitable. This article introduces the fault signals of various monitoring systems when the pressure of a certain power plant′s GIS equipment PT interval gas chamber drops to the alarm value. Through inspection and analysis of the fault causes and practical factors, our treatment ensures the stable operation of the equipment and the transmission of electricity while also makes the process more economical. This accomplishment holds significant reference value for future endeavors.

    Sediment Avoidance Operation Techniques and Measures for Run-of-River Hydropower Plants in High-Sediment Rivers during Flood Season

    Abstract:This paper discusses the operationduring the flood season and sediment avoidance operation techniques of runof-river hydropower stations in sediment-laden rivers. Through investigation and analysis of the sediment concentration in the incoming water of the power station, a complete set of operation technologies and implementation measures such as reasonable discharge of sediment sluices, cleaning of the diversion channel of the sedimentation tank, and avoiding specific periods of power generation are proposed. These measures effectively reduce sediment deposition and the sediment content of the unit flow, ensuring the safe operation and power generation indicators of the power station during the flood season.
