“Bayu Night Talk” China-CELAC Digital Technology Reception Held in Yuzhong

On the evening of September 4， the “Bayu Night Talk” China-CELAC Digital Technology Reception 2023 （Chongqing Gala） took place in Yuzhong District. Distinguished guests and diplomats from Latin America and Caribbean regions gathered by the picturesque Yangtze River to further enhance comprehensive， multi-sector， and deep cooperation between Chongqing， Yuzhong， and Latin America and Caribbean regions.

Foreign guests include Daniel Filmus， Minister of Science， Technology and Innovation of Argentina， Omar Paganini， Minister of Industry， Energy and Mining of Uruguay， Wayde Watson， Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Bahamas， and Daniel Méndez， Secretary of Innovation of El Salvador. Qiu Xiaoqi， Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Latin American Affairs， attended the event. Zhao Shiqing， Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People’s Congress， delivered a speech. Xie Dong， Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yuzhong District Committee and District Mayor， made a presentation. Deng Guanghuai， Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Yuzhong District Committee and Vice District Mayor， presided over the event.

Zhao Shiqing expressed that Chongqing shares similarities or common interests with countries in Latin America and Caribbean regions in various fields. He hoped that Chongqing would seize new opportunities from the digital economy， stimulate new momentum for China-CELAC cooperation， and truly achieve connectivity， mutual benefit， and win-win cooperation between the two sides.

9月4日晚，巴渝夜壇——中國—拉美和加勒比國家數(shù)字技術(shù)合作交流之夜在渝中區(qū)舉行，來自拉美和加勒比國家的政要使節(jié)代表齊聚美麗的長江畔，以此為契機，持續(xù)推動重慶、推動渝中與拉美和加勒比地區(qū)開展全方位、多領(lǐng)域、深層次的合作。

阿根廷科技創(chuàng)新部長丹尼爾·菲爾穆斯，烏拉圭工業(yè)、能源和礦業(yè)部長奧馬爾·帕加尼尼，巴哈馬經(jīng)濟事務(wù)部議會秘書韋德·沃森，薩爾瓦多總統(tǒng)府創(chuàng)新國務(wù)秘書丹尼爾·門德斯等外方嘉賓，中國政府拉美事務(wù)特別代表邱小琪出席。重慶市人大常委會副主任趙世慶致辭。渝中區(qū)委副書記、區(qū)長謝東作推介。渝中區(qū)委常委、副區(qū)長鄧光懷主持。

趙世慶表示，重慶與拉美和加勒比國家在諸多領(lǐng)域具備相似或相同點，希望與拉美和加勒比國家和地區(qū)一起，把握數(shù)字經(jīng)濟新機遇，激發(fā)中拉合作新動能，真正實現(xiàn)互聯(lián)互通、互利互惠、合作共贏。
