Helen: Mum, do you know what Im going to give you for your birthday?

Mum: No, dear, what is it?

Helen: A nice teapot.

Mum: But Ive got a nice teapot.

Helen: No, you havent. Ive just dropped it!

生日禮物

海倫：媽媽，你知道我準備送你什么生日禮物嗎？

媽媽: 不知道，親愛的，什么禮物？

海倫：一個精美的茶壺。

媽媽：可是我有一個很漂亮的茶壺啊。

海倫：不，你沒有。我剛把它摔破了。

Because we arent married

Girl: When we get married, I want to share all your worries, troubles and lighten your burden.

Boy: Its very kind of you, darling. But I dont have any worries or troubles

Girl:Well thats becausewe arent married yet.

因為我們還沒結(jié)婚

女孩：我們結(jié)婚后，我會分擔你的憂慮和煩惱，減輕你的負擔。

Ill change my name

At the age of 16, Eddy decided to leave home and join a theater company. His father was appalled, “A son of mine on the stage? Its a disgrace!” he wailed. “What if the neighbors find out?”

“Ill change my name," the comic-to-be volunteered. ”

“Change your name!”His father screamed. “What if youre a success? Howwillthe neighbors know its my son?”

埃迪十六歲了，他決定離開家去參加一個劇團。他的爸爸氣壞了。 “讓我的兒子上舞臺演戲？真丟臉！”他大叫道，“鄰居們知道了怎么想？”

“我會改一個名字?！边@位未來的滑稽演員主動提出。

“改名字！”他爸爸喊叫著，“那如果你出了名怎么辦？鄰居們怎么知道你就是我的兒子呢？”

心里難受

Son: Is it wrong to give anyone mental or physical hurt when he felt unhappy?

Father: Of course, it is.

Son: Fine, now I am feeling so bad. I lost in two subjects this time.

Father (angrily): What? You…

兒子：是不是當一個人心里難受時，就不應該再給他精神或肉體上的刺激？

父親：那當然！

兒子：那好，這次我有兩門功課不及格，我現(xiàn)在心里很難受。

父親(氣憤地)：什么？你……?
