I feel honoured to tell you something about the mascot. The mascot, named Haibao, is like a confident and cute kid. Haibao means “treasure of the world” as well as “treasure of Shanghai”. It is in the shape of the Chinese character ren, meaning people or a person. The colour blue stands for water, sea, the earth, life, dreams, the future and technology.

It is called “journey of harmony”, which is the longest torch relay in Olympic history. As volunteers, we performed a variety of roles to help make the exciting event a success.
