PUMPKINS (南瓜)

In October, pumpkins are everywhere. People cut the pumpkins and give them scary (可怕的；嚇人的) faces. People put pumpkins in windows to stop monsters (怪物；巨獸) and witches (女巫).

在十月，到處都是南瓜。人們把南瓜做成嚇人的面具，并把南瓜放在窗子上以阻止怪物和女巫進去。

TRICK OR TREAT （不請吃就搗亂）

In Britain and America, kids wear scary costumes (特定場合穿的成套的服裝). They go to houses and say “Trick or Treat”. If you say “trick”, the kids play a trick on you. If you say “treat”, you give them sweets (糖果) or chocolate (巧克力). Kids have a trick or treat bag for all the sweets.

在英國和美國，孩子們穿上特制的服裝到各家說“不請吃就搗亂”。 如果你說“惡作劇”，他們將會捉弄你。如果你說“款待”，你要給他們糖果或者巧克力，孩子們準備了袋子裝所有的糖果。
