蔡昶,1968年生，南京人。1994年畢業(yè)于南京藝術(shù)學(xué)院，1992年參加《亞洲四小龍巡回展》，1997年江蘇省“十五大精神頌”油畫展獲二等獎，1998年參加江蘇藝術(shù)節(jié)油畫展，1999年參加江蘇省油畫大展，2001年參加江蘇省油畫大展。

蔡昶的油畫是一種融合了東西方文化的繪畫藝術(shù)，他的構(gòu)圖多采用中國卷軸山水畫中的經(jīng)典樣式。其繪畫作品，有的如倪瓚的“一江兩岸”式，在空靈景致之中表現(xiàn)了中國傳統(tǒng)文人“隱逸、出世”的情懷；有的如“大小李將軍”的青綠山水，構(gòu)圖飽滿、富麗雄偉。蔡昶用絢麗、斑斕的油畫色彩，結(jié)合了中國傳統(tǒng)繪畫的景致經(jīng)營，形成了其特有的藝術(shù)特色。

Cai Chang(1968～) was born in Nanjing. In 1994, he graduated from Nanjing Art Institute. He has participated many exhibitions and awarded weighty prizes at the same time.
