1.Once upon a time there lived a blind man in a village. He had been blind in both eyes for many years.
從前一個(gè)村子里住著一個(gè)瞎子,他雙目失明已有許多年了。
2.He lived a happy life because he got on well with his neighbors and they often helped him.
他生活得很好,因?yàn)樗c鄰居們相處融洽,他們常常照顧他。
3.It was New Years eve. All the people celebrated the Spring Festival joyfully.
大年三十,人們歡度新春佳節(jié)。
4.The blind man was steaming jiaozi at home.
瞎子在家蒸餃子。
5.After a while,he finished the work.
很快,他蒸好了餃子。
6.A bowl of jiaozi in one hand,a lamp in the other. He sent the jiaozi to the neighbors.
他一手端著餃子,一手提著燈籠,把餃子給鄰居們送去。
7.They were very strange: Isnt it like lighting a candle (蠟燭) for a blind person — a sheer (絕對(duì)的) waste?
鄰居們都倍感驚訝:這豈不是瞎子點(diǎn)燈——白費(fèi)蠟嗎?
