小總統(tǒng)的精神喊話

I think we all need a pep talk[激勵(lì)的話].

The world needs you to stop being boring. Yeah， YOU！ Boring is easy. Everybody can be boring but youre “gooder注1” than that. Life is not a game， people. Life isnt a cereal[麥片] either. Well， it is a cereal. And if life is a game， arent we all on the same team？ I mean really right？ Im on your team， be on my team. This is life， people. You got air coming through your nose. You got a heart beat. That means its time to do something.

A poem： “Two roads diverged[分岔] in the woods， and I took the road less traveled.” AND IT HURT， MAN！ Really bad： rocks， thorns[荊棘]， and glass. My pants broke. Wow！ Not cool， Robert Frost注2！ But what if there really were two paths？ I wanna be on that leads to awesome！ So like that dude， Journey注3 said： “Dont stop believing， unless your dream is stupid.” Then you should get a better dream.

I think thats how it goes.

Get a better dream， and keep going， keep going， keep going and keep going. What if Michael Jordan注4 had quit？ Well he did quit. No， he retired. Yeah， he retired. But before that， in high school， what if he quit when he didnt make the team？ He wouldve never made Space Jam注5？ And I love Space Jam.

What would be your Space Jam？ What would you create to make the world awesome？ Nothing if you keep sitting there. Thats why Im talking to you today. This is your time. This is my time. This is OUR time. We can make everyday better for each other. If were all on the same team， lets start acting like it.

Weve got work to do.

We can cry about it or we can dance about it. We were made to be AWESOME. Lets get out there. I dont know everything. Im just a kid. But I do know this： Its everybodys duty to give the world a reason to dance. So get to it.

Youve just been pep-talked. Create something that will make the world awesome.

我想我們都需要來次精神喊話。

這個(gè)世界需要你，別再無精打采了。沒錯(cuò)，就是你！要做個(gè)無趣的人很容易，誰都可以當(dāng)個(gè)無趣的人。但你不僅如此。人生可不是一場游戲啊，各位。人生也不是一碗麥片。嗯，也許是碗麥片吧。不過，如果人生真的是一場游戲，那我們是不是都在同一隊(duì)呢？我是說，真的是這樣嗎？你我是守望相助的關(guān)系。這就是人生啊，各位。你的鼻子在呼吸空氣，你的心臟在跳動(dòng)，這就意味著是時(shí)候做點(diǎn)什么了。

一首詩曾說道：“在樹林中遇到了兩條岔路，而我選擇了人跡罕至的那條?！苯Y(jié)果，糟透了，老兄！那條路實(shí)在糟糕，有石頭、荊棘，還有玻璃呢。我的褲子都破了，哇！一點(diǎn)都不酷，羅伯特·弗羅斯特！可是，如果真有兩條岔路在我面前，我想踏上通往精彩人生的那條！就像旅行樂隊(duì)的哥們說過：“別放棄信念，除非你的夢想很愚蠢。”這時(shí)，你該找個(gè)更好的夢想。

我覺得這就是人生。

找個(gè)更好的夢想，然后向著它奮勇前進(jìn)，前進(jìn)，前進(jìn)，前進(jìn)進(jìn)。如果邁克爾·喬丹放棄打球了，那會(huì)怎么樣？嗯，他確實(shí)不打了。不，是他退役了。是的，他退役了。但在那之前，在他高中的時(shí)候，他沒能入選校隊(duì)，要是他就此不打球呢？他不就永遠(yuǎn)沒法出演《空中大灌籃》了嗎？我愛死《空中大灌籃》了。

那你人生中的“空中大灌籃”會(huì)是什么呢？你會(huì)創(chuàng)造些什么，讓世界精彩起來呢？如果你只是一味地坐著，那一切都是空的。這就是為什么我今天要跟你說這些話。是時(shí)候大顯你的身手，是時(shí)候我來露兩手，是時(shí)候我們大干一場了。我們可以讓彼此的每一天更加精彩。如果我們都坐在同一條船上，那就開始同舟共濟(jì)吧。

我們要做的事還多著呢。

我們可以怨天尤人，又或者快樂起舞。人，生來不凡。讓我們走出世界吧。我不是什么都懂的，我只是個(gè)小孩子。不過，我真的懂得：每個(gè)人都有責(zé)任讓世界起舞。所以快行動(dòng)起來吧。

你剛才被“精神喊話”了。做些事情，讓世界變得更精彩吧。

注1：為了強(qiáng)調(diào)，小總統(tǒng)故意把better說成gooder，就像good加-er后綴變比較級。

注2：羅伯特·弗羅斯特（1874—1963），20世紀(jì)美國著名詩人，被譽(yù)為美國的桂冠詩人，主要以農(nóng)村生活為題材。小總統(tǒng)引用的詩句出自他的著名詩歌《未選擇的路》（The Road Not Taken）。

注3：旅行樂隊(duì)，成立于20世紀(jì)80年代，是美國史上最受歡迎的搖滾樂隊(duì)之一，代表作為《Dont Stop Believin》。

注4：邁克爾·喬丹（1963—），又稱“空中飛人”，美國著名籃球運(yùn)動(dòng)員，1993年首次退役，后來幾經(jīng)復(fù)出和退役，2000年開始加入球壇的管理層。

注5：《空中大灌籃》，一部混合動(dòng)畫和真人演出的電影，于1996年上映，由兔八哥（Bugs Bunny）和邁克爾·喬丹領(lǐng)銜主演。
