基地位于一個工業(yè)密集區(qū)，坐落于馬恩河畔尚皮尼的一個居住區(qū)。相鄰的地塊有一些倉庫，在稍遠(yuǎn)的周邊混雜有集合住宅和獨立住宅。我們不得不認(rèn)真審視這個具有雙重特征的城市文脈。一方面，波浪形金屬表皮包裹了建筑體量，形成一個猶如工廠般的帶有圓角的體塊，且嵌有陽臺，還有一個懸挑的設(shè)計 - 與基地的工業(yè)氛圍相呼應(yīng)。另一方面，項目涵蓋三層樓的病房，建筑的尺寸和類型與周邊環(huán)境的住宅樓保持連貫性。橢圓形的基地在方案構(gòu)思中發(fā)揮了重要作用。在底層（ 基本治療和康復(fù)區(qū)），地塊寬度的局限使線性連續(xù)空間成為必須，空間猶如火車車廂般從前部開始，一個個相銜接。并且，我們認(rèn)為住戶不應(yīng)該推開門才能知曉另一邊發(fā)生了什么。大廳、餐廳、康復(fù)治療區(qū)和浴療區(qū)域，通過通透的空間和長的向建筑深處延展的視覺開口的應(yīng)用，成為一個連貫的體量。

the site is an industrial enclave, situated in a residential neighborhood of Champigny-sur-Marne. With warehouses lining the adjoining plots, and single family homes and housing blocks occupying the wider perimeter, we had to take account of an urban context with a dual identity. On one hand, the metallic envelope combined with the volumetric mass – a factory-like block to which the angles could be rounded,balconies dug out, a cantilever designed – responded to the industrial context of the site. On the other hand,with its three fl oors of patient rooms, the building’s size and mold works in continuation with the residential buildings of the surrounding environment. the oblong shape of the plot played a fundamental role in the conception of the building. On the ground fl oor (where the essential care and rehabilitation segments are found), the limited width of the property made a linear succession of spaces necessary, connected like train compartments through which one proceeds from the front. However, we didn’t think residents should have to push through doors to discover what was happening on the other side. We conceived of the lobby, dining room, physical therapy and balneotherapy departments, as one continuous volume through the use of transparent spaces and long visual openings extending into the depths of the building.
