引言
中職學(xué)校以學(xué)生就業(yè)為目標(biāo)導(dǎo)向,為了讓學(xué)生畢業(yè)后順利找到工作,中職學(xué)校設(shè)置的課程應(yīng)更多地考慮其實(shí)用性,讓學(xué)生學(xué)到就業(yè)所需要的知識(shí)。英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)的學(xué)生若是選擇專(zhuān)業(yè)對(duì)口的職業(yè),比如英語(yǔ)導(dǎo)游、英語(yǔ)教師、外貿(mào)業(yè)務(wù)員、口筆譯員、涉外文秘、相關(guān)公務(wù)員等,不論是面試還是工作,都需要使用英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)。即使是選擇與專(zhuān)業(yè)相關(guān)不大的工作環(huán)境,比如商場(chǎng)、酒店、旅行社等,必要時(shí)也需要使用一些簡(jiǎn)單的英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)??梢?jiàn),隨著中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)的快速發(fā)展,旅游業(yè)的不斷健全和完善,中西方國(guó)家的交流越來(lái)越密切,口語(yǔ)對(duì)于一個(gè)英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)的中職生來(lái)說(shuō)是非常重要的。
口語(yǔ)的教學(xué)方法有很多,影視教學(xué)法是其中的一種。影視教學(xué)法是指使用影視資料開(kāi)展教學(xué)活動(dòng)的一種教學(xué)方法。這里的影視資料主要指英美電影和電視劇。這種方法既激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,寓學(xué)于樂(lè),又能讓學(xué)生打好英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ),提高口語(yǔ)能力和英語(yǔ)綜合能力,還有相當(dāng)?shù)膶?shí)用價(jià)值。
二、影視教學(xué)法的方法探討
1. 影視教學(xué)法與語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)的學(xué)習(xí)
口語(yǔ)包括語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)和口頭表達(dá)。課堂上,教師可以通過(guò)引導(dǎo)學(xué)生注意電影和電視劇里的人物旁白對(duì)白糾正語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)。平時(shí)若是不看音標(biāo),學(xué)生喜歡根據(jù)一般的發(fā)音規(guī)則讀單詞。通常情況下,輔音字母的讀音變化較?。狠o音字母的音標(biāo)跟其字母相同或由固定的字母表示或搭配,比如p/p/、b/b/、k/k/、c/k/、th/θ/、ph/f/等; s在清輔音前,清輔音要濁化,比如western/'west?n/、schedule/'skedul/等;元音字母的讀音變化較大:a的發(fā)音可以是/ei//a://///,比如cafeteria中a發(fā)//,而around中a發(fā)//;一些拼起來(lái)的讀音由固定的字母搭配,比如tion//、sion//、ter//、ly/li/等。但并不是所有的單詞都按照發(fā)音規(guī)則發(fā)音的,比如singer很多學(xué)生讀/singer/,Coco Chanel這部電影其中一句對(duì)白是“-what do you do? –actually Im a singer. –oh, youre a singer.”如果注意聽(tīng),singer的發(fā)音應(yīng)該是//.
2. 影視教學(xué)法與英語(yǔ)口頭表達(dá)的學(xué)習(xí)
提高英語(yǔ)口頭表達(dá)就要不斷地積累短語(yǔ)和固定搭配,掌握語(yǔ)法規(guī)則,反復(fù)地練習(xí)。電影或電視劇里的對(duì)白有大量的短語(yǔ)和固定搭配,初學(xué)者或低年級(jí)的學(xué)生可以通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)英文字幕積累,英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)較好的學(xué)生可以通過(guò)聽(tīng)對(duì)白積累。除了積累大量短語(yǔ)和固定搭配外,還要有一定的英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)法基礎(chǔ)才能脫口而出。因?yàn)槲覀冋f(shuō)的話(huà)是由短語(yǔ)、一個(gè)句子或多個(gè)句子組成的,而英文句子又遵循著一定的語(yǔ)法規(guī)則。如果我們按照自己的思維習(xí)慣說(shuō)一口Chinglish,交流時(shí)對(duì)方會(huì)聽(tīng)得一頭霧水,不知所云,甚至造成誤會(huì)。比如一個(gè)學(xué)生期末口試時(shí)這么描述上街“I and mother up street”.
英美電影和電視劇的旁白對(duì)白多是英美國(guó)家的人們習(xí)慣的表達(dá)方式,可用于口語(yǔ)教學(xué)。課堂上,教師選擇積極向上并且有中英文字幕的英美電影和電視劇在班上播放,播放的片段最好在5分鐘內(nèi),按情節(jié)片段重復(fù)播放,讓學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)字幕,總結(jié)出句子的規(guī)律。例如Avatar的電影片段從23''到5'25''的字幕:

-"It would be a fresh start on a new world. You could do something important. You can make a difference."

電影的旁白對(duì)白出現(xiàn)了大量的短語(yǔ)blow through、sooner or later、clone back into existence、hammer on、anvil of life、get sth. straight、prey on、worth doing sth.、get off of sb.、lost oneself sth.、take over、identical to、step into one's shoes、so to speak、make a difference等;狀語(yǔ)從句when i was lying there in the VA hospital, i started having this dream of flying、you can fix a spinal, if you got the money、if you want a fair deal, you are on the wrong planet等;主謂或主謂賓結(jié)構(gòu)的簡(jiǎn)單句Sooner or later, though, you always have to wake up、I became a marine for the hardship、I don't want your pity等,還有定語(yǔ)從句、賓語(yǔ)從句等等。通過(guò)旁白對(duì)白掌握基本的語(yǔ)法規(guī)則,包括詞性及其用法和各種句型,積累一定的單詞量和短語(yǔ),平時(shí)反復(fù)練習(xí),學(xué)生就能擺脫啞巴英語(yǔ),脫口而出了。
3. 影視教學(xué)法與英語(yǔ)聽(tīng)力的學(xué)習(xí)
口語(yǔ)和聽(tīng)力是緊密聯(lián)系的。聽(tīng)力有助于口語(yǔ)的學(xué)習(xí),就像小孩牙牙學(xué)語(yǔ),都是從聽(tīng)大人說(shuō)話(huà)開(kāi)始的;聽(tīng)力有助于交流,聽(tīng)懂了別人說(shuō)什么才知道自己該說(shuō)什么。
對(duì)于基礎(chǔ)比較弱的學(xué)生,老師在課堂上分析字幕,讓學(xué)生掌握旁白對(duì)白的單詞、短語(yǔ)和句子后,去掉字幕反復(fù)聽(tīng),直到學(xué)生把所有的對(duì)白都能說(shuō)出來(lái)或?qū)懗鰜?lái)為止。對(duì)于基礎(chǔ)比較好的學(xué)生,也可以引導(dǎo)他們直接看不帶字幕的電影和電視劇。
4. 影視教學(xué)法與英語(yǔ)思維能力的訓(xùn)練
英語(yǔ)思維能力指的是用英語(yǔ)去思考問(wèn)題,具體地說(shuō),就是按照英美國(guó)家的人們的思維習(xí)慣去想問(wèn)題。口語(yǔ)把這種能力用語(yǔ)言的形式表現(xiàn)出來(lái)。
一部電影或一部電視劇有許多懸念或疑問(wèn)讓人思考,課堂上,教師可以用英語(yǔ)提出跟劇情相關(guān)的問(wèn)題或一些開(kāi)放性問(wèn)題,讓學(xué)生小組討論并用英語(yǔ)回答出來(lái)。電影AVANTA,放到5'25''的時(shí)候停下來(lái)問(wèn)學(xué)生,“What happened to Jake's brother? Why do the two people want to find Jake? Who are the two people?”;也可以問(wèn)一些開(kāi)放性的問(wèn)題,“Do you believe that there are aliens like Avanta from outer space? Are they friendly, or hostile to us?”訓(xùn)練學(xué)生用英語(yǔ)思考問(wèn)題并展開(kāi)討論或辯論。
教師也可以要求學(xué)生把電影的內(nèi)容用講故事的形式講出來(lái)或把某一個(gè)人說(shuō)的話(huà)復(fù)述出來(lái),意思大致相同就行了。電影AVANTA,放到5'25''時(shí)問(wèn)學(xué)生,“what is the part mainly about?”訓(xùn)練學(xué)生用英語(yǔ)總結(jié)的思維能力或讓學(xué)生復(fù)數(shù)“what did the two man say to Jake?”課堂上也可以設(shè)置情境表演,讓學(xué)生投入到角色中。例如讓學(xué)生表演電影AVANTA 37'40''到54'50''的片段。也可以將電影分成幾個(gè)片段,例如電影Avanta片段一the one two strangers come to visit Jake,片段二the one Jake survives when he stays alone in the Avanta forest,片段三the first time Jake sees the Omaticaya and the people in Avanta,片段四the one Jake conquers Toruk Macto, 片段五the one Jake learns to fly,讓一組學(xué)生選其中一個(gè)片段表演出來(lái),其他學(xué)生猜是哪一個(gè)片段。表演時(shí),老師鼓勵(lì)即興發(fā)揮。
5. 影視教學(xué)法與課堂活動(dòng)的設(shè)置
著名教育家蘇霍姆林斯基曾說(shuō):“讓學(xué)生體會(huì)到一種自己親身參與掌握知識(shí)的情感,乃是喚起少年特有的對(duì)知識(shí)的興趣的重要條件。當(dāng)一個(gè)人不僅在認(rèn)識(shí)世界,而且在認(rèn)識(shí)自我的時(shí)候,就能形成興趣。沒(méi)有這種自我肯定的體驗(yàn),就不可能有對(duì)知識(shí)的真正興趣?!睘榱俗寣W(xué)生保持學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的興趣,為了提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)綜合能力,老師設(shè)置課堂活動(dòng)時(shí)要注重學(xué)生的參與感,豐富課堂活動(dòng)的形式和內(nèi)容。例如小組討論問(wèn)題、辯論、講故事、編后續(xù)、情境表演、影視配音等等。
6. 影視教學(xué)法與文化的習(xí)得
電視劇Ugly Betty講的就是一個(gè)帶著鋼牙和黑框眼鏡,看上去笨手笨腳的丑女孩,通過(guò)自己的聰明才智和堅(jiān)持不懈的努力,最后贏得了別人的尊重和欣賞。電視劇Friends里6個(gè)主角的性格迥異,對(duì)話(huà)中的美式幽默無(wú)處不在。通過(guò)影視欣賞,學(xué)生可以直觀(guān)地觀(guān)察英美國(guó)家各階層人們的日常生活情況,了解他們?nèi)绾闻c朋友交談,進(jìn)行什么娛樂(lè)活動(dòng),有什么節(jié)日,如何慶祝節(jié)日,以及他們說(shuō)話(huà)的方式、表情、手勢(shì)等。同時(shí),通過(guò)剖析各色人物及其思想,了解西方人的情感世界、道德觀(guān)和生活觀(guān),認(rèn)識(shí)英美國(guó)家人們的思維方式、生活方式、價(jià)值觀(guān)念。
