Congratulations on the Birth of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage from ICCROM

Congratulations to the birth of it is always a great pleasure for ICCROM，the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage，to welcome the birth of a new journal on heritage.This is especially true when it takes place in such a culturally rich country as the People’s Republic of China，and when the journal is specifically dedicated to the preservation of all types of heritage：natural，cultural，tangible and intangible.

The preservation of heritage worldwide is also the main interest of ICCROM，an intergovernmental organization founded by UNESCO in 1956 in which China has been an active member since 2000.Ensuring preservation by building capacities and disseminating scientific knowledge is crucial，as is raising awareness with a wider public so that conservation science is recognized and supported by the whole community.

In today’s world，the role of heritage as a visible expression of culture is essential.It is a powerful tool for fighting intolerance and expanding intercultural dialogue，and journals like Research on Heritage and Preservation promise to be a strong partner and companion in our work.

We offer our congratulations to the publishers for such a significant undertaking and look forward to actively collaborating with this new journal.

歡迎遺產(chǎn)領(lǐng)域一個新期刊的誕生，對國際文物保護(hù)與修復(fù)研究中心（ICCROM）而言是件非常高興的事。特別是當(dāng)她發(fā)生在中華人民共和國這樣一個有著如此深厚文化底蘊的國度，而且貴刊又特別致力于包括自然遺產(chǎn)、文化遺產(chǎn)，物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)與非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)等所有類型遺產(chǎn)的保護(hù)，感覺更是非同一般。

作為聯(lián)合國教科文組織于1956年創(chuàng)立的政府間組織，世界各地的遺產(chǎn)保護(hù)是ICCROM的主要關(guān)注之所在，2000年以來，中國業(yè)已成為其中一個積極的成員。而相關(guān)學(xué)科知識的傳播及相關(guān)支撐條件的建設(shè)對實現(xiàn)確實有效的保護(hù)甚為重要，以此提高廣大公眾的認(rèn)識，使遺產(chǎn)保護(hù)科學(xué)也為全社會認(rèn)可和支持。

在當(dāng)今之世界，作為文化可見的表達(dá)載體，文化遺產(chǎn)扮演著非常關(guān)鍵的角色。他是對抗偏見、擴大跨文化對話交流的有力工具?！哆z產(chǎn)與保護(hù)研究》這樣一本雜志將會成為我們這一事業(yè)中的強有力的伙伴與合作者。
