Improving the Effectiveness of Learning

Nowadays， knowledge is being updated in a shorter time， all kinds of new knowledge， new situations and new things have emerged in endlessly. Only by constantly strengthening learning and enhancing the ability， can people develop with the times and always keep up with the trend of the progress of the times. In the farming days， studying for years would be useful to a person all his life， in the age of industrial economy he needs to learn more years ， and in the knowledge economy times， one needs continuously lifelong learning. This is true， in our today's information society， whether a person， a political party or a country， they have to rely on Learning to establish themselves， which is the necessary condition for people`s survival and development. Learning is a system engineering， we should pay attention to study strategies and improve the learning efficiency and quality to overcome the blindness， avoid one sidedness and reduce randomness.

Firstly， we should cultivate interest. Interest is the best teacher to inspire learning and the internal force in propelling people to study. “People who know it are no better than those who love it； Those who love it are no better than the ones who love to know it.” This is the truth. Only when people have a strong interest in learning， can they look upon study as a pursuit， a kind of hobbies and a healthy way of life. This can lead to the change from “I am required” to “I require” and from “l(fā)earning a while” to “l(fā)ifetime study” to achieve the goal of learning something.

Secondly， we should think deeply. “Learning without thought is labour lost； thought without learning is perilous.” Einstein said， “Studying knowledge needs thinking again and again， which is a leaning method helping me become a scientist.” To bring the issue to study and to develop the habit of thinking while reading. Thinking deeply with practice and using brains on the basis of extensive reading， then digest the ideas. Learning strives to make scattered things systematic， isolated things connected， superficial things profound and perceptual things rational. We should dare to take up the weapon of criticism， find new problems in thinking， and try to form a new understanding on the basis of the former.

Thirdly， we should learn to meet practical needs. “ What's learned from books is superficial after all. It's crucial to have it personally tested somehow.” “Seeing is better than of listening， practice is better than of seeing.” Learning objectively is a process of discarding the dross and selecting the essential， a process of eliminating the false and retaining the true. It must be with practice， making the unity of knowledge and action， Finally， we have insight into the objective development rule of things through the guidance of the theory and the use of knowledge accumulation. Xi Jinping pointed out， learning is the ladder of development and progress， and practice is the way to improve skills； reading is a way of learning， application also a way of learning， and it is more important than learning； the purpose of learning is to use， the effectiveness of learning to solve practical problems. We should dare to practice， insist on “l(fā)earning by doing” and “doing by learning”， research and resolve the significant reality problems as the essential aim of learning， taking the main battlefield of reform and development， the first-line of maintaining stability and the forefront of serving the people as the best classroom， applying their knowledge to promote learning， and constantly improveing our principle， systematicness， predictability and creativity.

Fourthly， we should persevere. Learning is a long-term process which needs to pay great toil . We can not be impatient and stop after getting a little knowledge， but should adhere to take the easiest the first with a step by step approach. We should develop learning spirit， and study hard without a moment's stopping. Spare some time to read every day，especially be good at the use of fragmented time eagerly. As long as you keep at it， even if half an hour of reading every day for a few pages of the book， every a little makes a mickle. Learning needs heart-deep to read a good book or article repeatedly and carefully， finding the related books and background materials to read comparatively and think clear. The most important thing is lifelong learning， and we should learn diligently no matter what our age .
