      A Brief Analysis of English Teachingin the Stage of Fundamental Education

      【Abstract】Classroom teaching is the main way to learn English and English teachers are shouldering the key factors to help the students lay a solid foundation for their further English study which including building positive affect, forming good grammatical sense, correct habit of spelling and reading. In this paper, the importance of fundamental English teachers quality and techniques theyd better adopt for the beginners will be discussed.

      What techniques should fundamental English teachers adopt?

      As far as the English teaching in the primary schools is concerned, teachers have to arouse the students' interest and help to build a kind of awareness that English is of great importance so that they may learn better. Self-confidence is also plays an essential role in FEL, as long as students realize they have gift to master the foreign language, they must pay enough attention to it and exploit their advantage to the full. Meanwhile, it is better for fundamental English teachers to offer all kinds of resources, introduce interesting topics, stimulate discussion, excite imaginative responses and be the springboard for well-rounded, fascinate lessons to have students experience success and pleasure on a large scale.       1. Body language

      To make class instruction interesting and vivid, body language used in English teaching is advisable, for it is an important media,patterns of facial expressions and gestures that people use to express their feelings in communication through which people communicate with each other. In school education, body language plays a positive role in cultivating the students' characters (Zhang, 2003). For students on the stage of fundamental English learning, activeness, diversification and vividness avoid ambiguity of instruction effectively to confirm them English just a part of their life and study.

      Wildly connection English with juveniles life and living environment is a valid task of fundamental English teachers too. For this aspect, design appropriate situation to instruct new knowledge is the basic thing teachers should do which put forward a high standard for the teachers quality.       3. Psychologizing English Class Instruction

      Affected by Chinese traditional culture for thousands of years, our children are usually shy and reserve, questioning spirit and query is difficult to find on them, even having different opinions from teachers, they dare not or do not want to let teacher know. Day by day, whether questions will be piled or mislead their study to wrong way. No matter what situation emerges, English study would be hindered, finally they lose heart and nobody can assist them, which is bound to destroy their lifelong English learning . So, how to be a qualified guider is worth being studied further by them. Without any doubt, to psychologize English classroom instruction is a way out.

      Conclusion

      As teachers to the students who are at the stage of fundamental English learning they should learn to turn students hard work toward supporting the language strengths students already have, proving students with a feeling of success, which will develop with much greater ease than it does at the present time. Namely, they are versatile ones, how hard the work is to be a fundamental English educator. I believe, with the development of society, more and more resources and medium would be utilized in English instruction.
