中關(guān)村科技創(chuàng)新中心落戶美國硅谷Zhongguancun Silicon Valley Innovation Center Opens in California

當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間5月11日，位于美國硅谷核心地帶圣克拉拉市的中關(guān)村硅谷創(chuàng)新中心于正式開幕，為中關(guān)村企業(yè)走向硅谷、走向世界、參與創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)的全球化進(jìn)程提供具有全球影響力的平臺。據(jù)介紹，中關(guān)村硅谷創(chuàng)新中心由中關(guān)村發(fā)展集團(tuán)海外子公司中關(guān)村（國際）控股公司與美國C.M.Capital投資公司于2015年合作設(shè)立。中心辦公面積約7000平方米，設(shè)置孵化器、加速器、中關(guān)村跨境辦公室、展示中心、路演及活動區(qū)等功能區(qū)塊。

The Zhongguancun Innovation Center officially opened on May 11 in the heart of Silicon Valley. The new Santa Clara space is an important step forward for Chinese startups and their role in the globalization of innovation. The Zhongguancun Silicon Valley Innovation Center was established in a cooperative effort between the Zhongguancun Development Group and American investment company C.M Capital. The center boasts 7,000 square meters of office space for incubators, accelerators, and cross-border office space. There is also an exhibition center and an activities area.

《魔獸》電影在中國賣情懷：上映5天票房破10億World of Warcraft Movie Flops in the U.S., Earns Big in China

《魔獸》電影上映僅5天，票房就突破了10億元大關(guān)。而該片在美國本土的表現(xiàn)卻不溫不火。Box Office Mojo數(shù)據(jù)顯示，上映3天，《魔獸》在美國的累計(jì)票房僅為2436萬美元（約折合人民幣1.6億元），差距可見一斑。分析認(rèn)為，《魔獸》此次能在中國票房大賣，粉絲的力量功不可沒。尤其是70后、80后，他們被稱作是中國的“魔獸一代”，而90后也同樣承載著《魔獸》情懷。

The World of Warcraft movie “Warcraft” has earned 1 billion RMB at the Chinese box office in five days. The film had much stronger showing in China than it did in the United States. Box Office Mojo reported that the movie only earned $24.36 million (about 160 million RMB) after three days in the United States. The gap is pretty evident. Some analysts believe that “Warcraft”did so well in China because of the large number of Chinese World of Warcraft fans. Those born in the 1970s and 1980s are known in China as the “World of Warcraft generation.” The game is popular with those born in the 1990s as well

中國超級計(jì)算機(jī)領(lǐng)跑世界China Now Has the Fastest Supercomputer in the World

國際超級計(jì)算機(jī)“TOP500”組織近期發(fā)布的榜單顯示, 中國“神威·太湖之光”成為超級計(jì)算機(jī)的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者?！吧裢ぬ狻钡倪\(yùn)算速度為此前3年處在該榜單首位的“天河二號”的兩倍以上，大約是目前排名第三的美國領(lǐng)先超級計(jì)算機(jī)系統(tǒng)的5倍。全球超級計(jì)算機(jī)500強(qiáng)榜單由國際“TOP500”組織每半年公布一次，在德國和美國輪流舉行。這是中國首次在“TOP500”榜上的超級計(jì)算機(jī)臺數(shù)超過美國。

Chinese supercomputer Sunway TaihuLight has taken the number one spot in the most recent Top500 list of supercomputers published recently. The computer performed three times better than China’s previous top-performing supercomputer which held the number one spot for the past three years. The Taihu Light is five times more powerful than the leading U.S. supercomputer which ranks third.The Top500 list is published every six months and related conferences are held alternatively in Germany and the United States.This is the first time that China has more machines on the Top500 list than the United States.
