“很多”你還在用many？

一提到“很多”“許多”，你會想到哪些表達呢？是不是只想到a lot of，many？首先來看看大家熟悉的幾個詞。

1.A lot of/Lots of

這兩個短語后面可以接可數(shù)和不可數(shù)名詞。如：a lot of water很多水；a lot of things很多事情。

2.Many

Many后面接可數(shù)名詞。如：many students很多學生；many colors很多顏色。

除了最常見的這兩種表達外，這里重點推薦其他幾種關于“很多”的實用表達。

3.Numerous/'num?r?s/adj.很多；許多

I found numerous documents piled up on the desk.

我發(fā)現(xiàn)桌上堆積了很多文件。

4.Countless/'ka?ntl?s/adj.很多的；多得數(shù)不清的

Sarah has countless parking tickets to deal with.

薩拉有很多的停車罰單要處理。

5.A number of許多；若干

Police say anumber of others were wounded in the attack.

警方表示，另有許多人在襲擊中受傷。

6.A great number of許多；很多

A great number of snakes have gone missing.

大量的蛇已經(jīng)失蹤了。

7.A staggering number of大量的；很多

A staggering number of animals were wiped out during the disaster.（Staggering /'st?ɡ?ri?/adj.驚人的；非常）

這次災難中大批動物都滅絕了。

另外，還有很多表達如a sea of, thousands of等等都可以使用。
