雖然現(xiàn)在通訊發(fā)達(dá)，隨時(shí)都能聯(lián)系到他人，可是偶爾還是會遇到找不到人要委托別人傳話的情況。但又應(yīng)該怎樣請求別人幫忙捎信呢？

背景知識?

“Would you mind giving/sending him a message/a message to him?”是要求別人捎信時(shí)比較客氣的說法，動詞“mind”常用于疑問句、否定句及回答問話的肯定句中，表示“介意，反對”。

2看病

人是血肉之軀，難免會生病，生病了可不能諱疾忌醫(yī)喲！那么你知道該如何與醫(yī)生對話嗎？

常考口語?

There’s something wrong with my… 我……有點(diǎn)毛病/不舒服。

I’ve got a cough. 我咳嗽。

I feel terrible/bad. 我覺得很難受/不好受。

I don’t feel well. 我感覺身體不舒服。

背景知識?

病人在訴說具體病情時(shí)，可說“I have a headache (stomachache, toothache, earache, sore back, sore throat, sore leg, sore eye).（我頭疼（胃疼、牙疼、耳朵疼、背疼、喉嚨疼、腿疼、眼睛疼）。）”。

— Excuse me. Could you tell me how to get to the post offce?

對不起。您能否告訴我去郵局怎么走？

— Of course. Turn right at the next intersection[十字路口]and go straight. The post offce will be on your left. 當(dāng)然可以。在下個(gè)十字路口右轉(zhuǎn)后直走。郵局就在你的左邊。

分析▲“Excuse me.”通常有引起對方注意的含義，最常使用的場合為請人讓路或問路的時(shí)候。它與“I’m sorry.”雖同表“對不起。”，但在用法上仍有所差異。“Excuse me.”并不代表自己確實(shí)犯錯(cuò)，而使用“I’m sorry.”時(shí)一般是自己確實(shí)犯了錯(cuò)。相似的口語表達(dá)還有：1) Pardon me. 2) Sorry to interrupt you. 3) I hate to bother you.

— You look great! How do you stay in such good shape?

你看起來好棒！你是怎樣保持這么好的身材的？

分析▲當(dāng)看到某人精神抖擻或氣色頗佳時(shí)，可用此句表達(dá)贊賞，聽者必定十分喜悅。也可以說：1) You look wonderful!2) You look fantastic!

3I must be going. 我得走了。

— I’ve really enjoyed your party, Lisa. 這次宴會我玩得好高興噢，麗薩。

— Not at all, Sam. 別客氣，山姆。

— I wish I could stay longer, but I must be going. 我真希望能再待久一點(diǎn)兒，但我得離開了。

分析▲我們在朋友家作客，或者是正與人暢談時(shí)，如若突然想起亟待處理的事情，則可說這句話。當(dāng)然，說的時(shí)候要注意語氣，不要冒犯到對方。常用的口語表達(dá)還有：

1) I’ve got to go now. 2) I’d better get going now.

4Help yourself. 請自便；別客氣。

— Where did you get these peanuts, Mike? 這些花生在哪兒買的，麥克？

— At the supermarket down the street. Help yourself. 在街尾的超市。想吃隨便拿哦。

分析▲一般邀請客人來家里吃飯時(shí)，主人最常使用此句，讓客人不會感到拘謹(jǐn)。我們還可以說：1) Have some. 2) Try some.
