This is a dinner set design that attempts to interpret Hulu (gourds) and Piao (gourd-made utensils), with the hope of retaining the sensitivity of the artisan’s era during industrial production.

建筑師習慣解決問題。傳統(tǒng)的拿破侖千層蛋糕的酥皮餅很容易被夾在其間的奶油中的水分軟化。我們決定把酥皮餅和奶油分開:酥皮餅放在周邊,中間放一個巧克力做的防水盒子乘奶油,就解決了這個問題;同時也創(chuàng)造了拿破侖的一種新吃法:分享時每個人可以根據自己的需要抽取一塊酥皮餅,并蘸取適量奶油。
Architects are used to problem solving. The pastry of the traditional mille-feuille tends to get softened easily by the moisture of the cream placed between the layers. We decided to separate the pastry and the cream by surrounding the pastry around a water-proof chocolate box that contains the cream,thus solved the problem and created a new way of eating mille-feuille: when sharing with friends, one can pick a piece of pastry and dip it in the cream as one desires.

我們把首飾當做可以戴在身上的微型建筑。我們最早的一批首飾設計是把一個戒指或胸針想象成切開的房間,通過寫意的家具暗示出生活場景。
In this design, jewellery is considered micro architecture to be worn as daily accessories. Each ring and brooch forms a section of a room, with miniature furniture pieces forming the setting for daily living.

1960s' famous conceptual art piece, One and Three Chairs, discusses the relationship among physical object, image and text. Whereas, One and Four Chairs established the "genetic" connection among four different chairs, through two types of materials - wood and metal, and three scales -human, working model and jewellery.□
