據(jù)北京市重大項(xiàng)目辦公室介紹，作為北京夏季奧運(yùn)會(huì)的標(biāo)志性場館，“水立方”啟動(dòng)改造，變身“冰立方”，并將承辦2022年北京冬奧會(huì)的冰壺類比賽項(xiàng)目?！八⒎健保▏矣斡局行模┖汀傍B巢”是2008年北京夏季奧運(yùn)會(huì)最具象征意義的文化建筑。其中水立方舉辦了游泳和跳水的比賽項(xiàng)目。改造完成后，水上運(yùn)動(dòng)中心將在2022年設(shè)立一個(gè)可轉(zhuǎn)換的冰壺比賽場地。水立方南側(cè)還將定期開放一個(gè)冰場服務(wù)于民眾。改造工程將于2020年7月在冬奧會(huì)測試賽之前完成。據(jù)國家游泳中心總經(jīng)理?xiàng)钇嬗陆榻B：“根據(jù)我們的計(jì)劃，冰立方將在保有水立方水上功能的基礎(chǔ)上新增冰上功能，使用新的制冰系統(tǒng)，形成具有4條奧運(yùn)會(huì)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)賽道的冰壺場地?！毙碌摹氨⒎健币矊⑦M(jìn)行技術(shù)升級，配備可監(jiān)控室內(nèi)溫度、濕度和照明的系統(tǒng)。作為2008年夏季奧運(yùn)會(huì)的主辦城市，北京將成為第一個(gè)承辦夏季奧運(yùn)會(huì)和冬季奧運(yùn)會(huì)的城市。2008年夏季奧運(yùn)會(huì)的許多場館正在進(jìn)行翻修，以便在2022年冬奧會(huì)之前滿足冬季運(yùn)動(dòng)的需要?！八⒎健?“冰立方”將成為舉辦可持續(xù)發(fā)展奧運(yùn)會(huì)的永久典范。

The iconic Water Cube that was used in the Beijing Summer Olympics has undergone a dramatic transformation to the Ice Cube, and is set to host the curling events for the Beijing 2022 Winter Games, according to the Beijing Office for Major Projects. The Water Cube, or the National Aquatics Center, along with the Bird’s Nest, are the two most symbolic legacies of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. The Water Cube housed the swimming and diving events. When the transformation is complete, the Aquatics center will feature a transferable rink for curling events in 2022. There will also be another ice rink to the south of the Water Cube for the public on a regular basis. The transition will befinished by July 2020 before the 2022 Olympic test events. According to our plan, the Water Cube will be upgraded into a curling rink while keeping the swimming pool. A new ice-making system will be in place to provide four Olympic-standard curling rinks, said Yang Qiyong, general manager of the National Aquatics Center. The new Ice Cube will get a technological upgrade as well,with a system monitoring the interior temperature, humidity, and lighting. Beijing, which hosted the Summer Games in 2008, will become thefirst city ever to host both the Summer and Winter Olympics. Many venues in 2008 Summer Games are now being renovated to become suitable for winter sports ahead of the 2022 Games. The Water Cube/Ice Cube will stand as a permanent legacy of how a sustainable Olympics can be put on.
