Qianjiang, a leading city in the crayfish industry in China for 14 consecutive years, has been the largest crayfish exporter in the world, feeding more than 30 countries and regions in Europe and America. In 2019, the municipal government put forward a new slogan, “Qianjiang Crayfish, a Feast for the World,” and is now engaging in the implementation of a “going global” policy, which enables the local crayfish and rice to be seen on the world’s tables.

In May, Qianjiang held its Qianjiang Crayfish Festival in Hong Kong.

In early June, staff at the United Nations Headquarters enjoyed delicious Qianjiang crayfish.

In mid-June, the Qianjiang Crayfish Vocational School signed a strategic agreement with the Canada Achieve Group. Therefore, the school will send its crayfish experts to offer training courses on crayfish breeding, cooking, and so on to Canada, and the Canadian Group will also send students to study in Qianjiang.

In late June, Jamie Fouss, the US Consul General in Wuhan visited Qianjiang and encouraged the city to deepen its cooperation with the United States in the areas of food, tourism, and cultural exchange.

In July, Ashley Mason, Chairman of the York City Council Supervisory Committee, led a delegation to visit Qianjiang and proposed to strengthen the cooperation between the major players in the crayfish industry. Representatives from Uruguay also proposed to introduce Qianjiang’s crayfish-rice farming mode into its local agriculture.

Qianjiang crayfish is going global step by step, and shared by more and more people around the world. Wu Zuyun, Secretary of Qianjiang Municipal Party Committee, said that the globalization of the Qianjiang crayfish and rice industries is a product of its momentum, timing, and a growing demand.

中旬，湖北潛江小龍蝦烹飪技術(shù)職業(yè)培訓(xùn)學(xué)校與加拿大邁威教育集團(tuán)簽署跨國人才合作協(xié)議，潛江派專家去當(dāng)?shù)嘏嘤?xùn)小龍蝦養(yǎng)殖、烹飪等技能人才，并接受對方學(xué)生來校學(xué)習(xí)。

下旬，美國駐漢總領(lǐng)事館總領(lǐng)事傅杰明一行考察潛江，支持潛江在美食、旅游和文化方面與美國方面深化合作。

7月，英國約克市議會監(jiān)管委員會主席阿什利·梅森帶團(tuán)考察潛江，提出加強(qiáng)雙方在小龍蝦產(chǎn)業(yè)方面的合作；烏拉圭代表提出要把潛江蝦稻共作模式引進(jìn)當(dāng)?shù)匕l(fā)展。
