Diana left me to stir it while she buttered the plates and I forgot and let it burn; and then when we set it out on the platform to cool the cat walked over one plate and that had to be thrown away. Then when I came home Mrs. Barryasked me to come over as often as I could and Diana stood at the window and threw kisses to me all the way down to Lover's Lane. I assure you， Marilla， that I feel like praying tonight and I'm going to think out a special brand-new prayer in honor of the occasion.'

“我要是長(zhǎng)大了，就是對(duì)小女孩也要用平等的態(tài)度說話?！卑材莺孟褚呀?jīng)決定下來似的，“還有，無論別人說多長(zhǎng)的句子，我都不會(huì)笑話人家，不然會(huì)傷害人家，我就不止一次地體驗(yàn)過那種悲傷。喝完茶后，我和黛安娜一起做了奶糖，可不太好吃，畢竟是我們第一次做呀。黛安娜往碟子里涂黃油時(shí)，我在一旁攪拌，不小心弄糊了，接著把它放到臺(tái)子上冷卻，一共做了兩個(gè)，卻不得不扔掉一個(gè)，真可惜。不過，整個(gè)制作過程還是挺有趣的。我臨回來時(shí)，巴里太太還讓我以后常去玩兒。黛安娜一直站在窗戶邊上目送我回家，還用飛吻把我送到‘戀人的小徑’?，斎鹄?，我今晚要好好祈禱番，感謝今天發(fā)生的一切，我要想出一些特別的新禱詞。
