Headquartered in New York City, Laguarda.Low Architects (also known as LLA) is an awardwinning and internationally acclaimed architectural practice.Founded in 2000 with offices in Beijing and Tokyo, the practice spans the globe with services including master plans, urban design, architectural design and interior design.Over the pasttwenty years, LLA has built an enviable track record and acquired unique professional strength, with projects ranging from urban mixed-use, TOD, cultural tourism and retail complexes, new townships, shopping malls and street retail- to hotel, office, public projects, apartments and villas.

Laguarda.Low’s open and continually evolving design philosophy begins with a methodology in which the focus of each architectural project is built upon the understanding and development of its planning and urban design role.Laguarda.Low funnels the design process into multiple options, to search and investigate all the possible alternatives, evaluate them against the program, the client’s need, the city’s requirements and the phasing strategy.

The approach and strategy for complex projects is to put the design emphasis when and where it is needed, making the process efficient and productive.The firm approaches each commission in a unique way with sensitivity to the differing programs and needs of the project, context and location.The day-to-day dedication and hands-on approach of the partners and senior designers ensures communication at all levels and eliminates unnecessary overlapping of responsibilities.There is a direct connection between the project decision makers, key design architects and design staff in the evolution of the entire project.
