市政府外辦與美國林同棪國際董事長鄧文中會談

3月3日，市政府外辦二級巡視員魯進與美國林同棪國際董事長鄧文中舉行座談，雙方就重慶與美國的交往合作、史迪威研究中心和重慶史迪威博物館當前工作及今后發(fā)展等議題進行交流。

魯進表示，史迪威研究中心和重慶史迪威博物館自20世紀90年代初成立以來，已成為兩國政府和民間友好往來的橋梁和紐帶。鄧文中院士對重慶經(jīng)濟社會發(fā)展作出了突出貢獻，期待他為推動重慶與美國的交流合作和中美兩國關(guān)系發(fā)展繼續(xù)發(fā)揮積極作用。

鄧文中表示，史迪威研究中心和重慶史迪威博物館是歷史留給中美兩國人民的重要精神遺產(chǎn)，應該讓更多人了解這段歷史。期待中美關(guān)系能健康穩(wěn)定發(fā)展，他愿意繼續(xù)為中美友好與合作交流搭建橋梁。

Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government held a meeting with Man-Chung Tang， president of T.Y. Lin International Group

Lu Jin， Level-II inspector of Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government， had a meeting with Man-Chung Tang， president of T.Y. Lin International Group on March 3. The two sides exchanged views on the communication and cooperation between Chongqing and the US， the current work and future development of the Stilwell Center and Stilwell Museum in Chongqing.

Lu Jin said that since the establishment of the Stilwell Center and Stilwell Museum in Chongqing in the early 1990s， they have become bridges and links for friendly exchanges between two governments and peoples. Given outstanding contribution made by academician Man-Chung Tang to Chongqing's economic and social development， he is expected to further play a positive role in promoting the exchanges and cooperation between Chongqing and the US and the development of China-US relations.

Man-Chung Tang said that the Stilwell Center and Stilwell Museum in Chongqing are key ideological heritages left by history to the peoples of China and the US and more people should learn about the history. Looking forward the healthy and stable development of China-US relations， he was willing to continue bridging China-US friendship， cooperation and exchanges.
